Escape to the perfect wooded cabin paradise

5 of 5
DO stay at this upscale cabin if you want all of the modern conveniences of home, in a gorgeously forested secluded setting. We didn't miss anything at this generously spacious cabin. It is more befitting to call it a very nice, newer rustic house. We were very pleased to find that there were plenty of channels to watch, not just basic cable, dependable WiFi and a DVD player. All of the appliances are up to date. Also, a very nice, modern kitchen, plus a nice washer and dryer, made us feel very much at home. The owner takes excellent care of the place, everything is in working order and very clean. The place is very homey and comfortable, the decor and furnishings are very nice. He supplied us with lots of information prior to the stay, which made it very convenient. We knew how to prepare, what to expect when we got there and how everything worked. We have never experienced anything similar before. The lakes are very clean and within a short distance from the cabin. We saw plenty of wildlife, including many deer, some foxes, and beautiful birds, including bluebirds, humming birds, robins and mallards. As we drove around the area, viewing other cabins, we felt very fortunate to have chosen one of the nicer, newer cabins in the area. We also loved the fact that we were at the end of the cul-de-sac, which provided more than enough privacy. We dined at the Masthope Lodge's Summit Grill. It's hard to find better prices for the quality of food that we enjoyed. After dinner we sat in nice big Adirondack chairs on the porch of the lodge, which has a breathtaking view over the valley. The silence was interrupted only by our chatter. Heavenly! This was the perfect vacation to escape the hustle and bustle of life's every day stresses. We were in another blissful world during our stay. We cannot recommend a better cabin get-away and loved it so much we can't wait to go back!

AMAZING TIME AWAY AT THREE BRIDGES!

5 of 5
Tracey was awesome and easy to work with. The house was perfect. The dogs loved being in nature - it was great to fall asleep every night with the sounds of the streams in the background. Was the perfect quiet get away (not that far from NYC). I would definitely stay there again! (Plus it's near a gorgeous spa called the Lodge at Woodloch). There are great restaurants and things to do for every taste level/age/etc. Everything was accurate as described! Definitely try this little slice of forest/wood paradise!

Loved our Masthope Vacation!!!

5 of 5
Our family loved our first Masthope vacation! This was also our first family vacation with our five yr old and twin 3 yr olds and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. The house was beautiful, clean and well maintained. It had all of the amenities we needed and then some. Our children LOVED the basement and the toys they found there (Razor Scooters rated the highest). Beds were comfy. Kitchen was perfect. The location was great because it was walking (5 yr old w/high energy & up) or bike riding distance to the lodge/store/pool/playground, but not so close that you could see or hear any of it. It took 4 minutes to drive to the lodge, 4 to the stables, 10 at most to the lake. Glen was always a pleasure to communicate with and very helpful. He was quick to reply to any questions we had and proactively ensured we had any information needed. Masthope itself was fantastic. The pool was perfect, pony rides at the stables were a hit, the kids loved feeding the goats, llama, pigs and Shetlands at the petting farm, lake and river spots were beautiful, every playground was a winner, Mtashope run kids activities and the lodge saved us on rainy days. My husband loved the biking, fishing and the rafting. I loved having some nights off cooking while eating at the lodge and some peaceful evenings on our deck under a blanket of stars. The whole family got a kick out of seeing the deer and wild turkeys roaming around freely. There is really no need to leave Masthope except to get your groceries, however we did decide to visit the Zane Gray museum, Cedar Rapids river rafting, and have dinner at Crossroads in Barryville. Great experience and we're already looking forward to returning next year!
