Best family vacation

5 of 5
We had an amazing time in this house for the long Fourth of July weekend. The house was beautiful, clean, modern and spacious enough for our six adults and six kids. The house was even better than the pictures and description. Kids loved the upstairs loft and pretty much stayed up there playing games and foosball while the adults hung out downstairs. We loved the deer and the bear in the backyard. Plenty to do for all of us. The lake was gorgeous and clean. People in the community were accommodating and friendly. Masthope put on a great fireworks show over the weekend. Special thank you to Kurt who was quick to respond and professional with the rental process. We loved every minute of our vacation. Thanks for letting us rent your amazing home. Hope to come back again.

Autumn in the Poconos

4 of 5
We stayed for a week in this home. The location is quiet, however the home is near to the street so pet owners should be aware of that. The outdoor yard space is limited with neighbors in close proximity on either side and a rocky cliff to the rear of the property. With that said, there is a large deck area for sitting outside as well as a new gas grill. Inside, the home is furnished comfortably and was very clean. However, oddly enough, there were no trash containers in the kitchen or bathrooms or outdoors. It is quite a drive to the grocery store from this property so I would suggest timing your arrival so you can do your shopping first. Also be aware that there are no essential items provided ie salt/pepper, coffee filters, toilet paper, etc.(other than dishwashing liquid) so be sure to get all the items you need. There is a full size washer/dryer which is a convenience. While we were at the Masthope home, we saw several deer while strolling through the community AND saw 3 young black bears crossing the road when we were on our way to the grocery store! We visited Roebling's Delaware Aqueduct on the scenic Delaware River, walked paths at the Minisink Battlefield County Park, took a trip to Bushkill Falls, and visited Antler Ridge Winery in Hawley. We prepared all of our meals in the home so I cannot recommend any restaurants.
