Great Place

5 of 5
We stayed for a week in late July. Two adults and two girls (8) and (11) from Havertown PA. We absolutely loved the place. During our week it was very quiet with no neighbors (Yeah)except for 2 doors down on the 1st night 10 or so early twenties renters very loud partiers (think Rave music). At around 9:00 I went over and asked them to turn it down and they did and thankfully it was their last night. Could have been a different experience if it was their first night (sigh of relief). My wife and girls loved the furniture fixtures and decor. Very new and high end. Beds and linens were great and comfortable. Everything very clean. No A/C in the place and no worries. Every room has ceiling fans plus the breeze and it actually got cool when Phila was in the low 90's!. Plus this is a corner unit higher up on the hill so it is shaded and get a nice breeze. The Big Boulder Club access included in the rent was the activity of everyday. We rented a boat a few times to fish (actually cought a few). My kids love to swim so they were out in the lake mainly (pool a couple times) on the large bouncy ponton right off the beach for at least 4 hours a day. The beach side bar was used often and they almost give away food and drinks at happy hour the prices are so low. Food is pretty good too and drinks pretty strong. The Austin T Blakslee natural area down the road is a really neat place to hike and fish. We went to Camelback Water Park for a day (kids loved it Dad not so much). Great pizza / pasta place on route 940 (unfortunately forget the name) on the right hand side before you get into Blakslee. The condo owners are very friendly. You can see that they really care about their property. They gave us some really good recommendation for dinner places they frequent, we got to 2 of them and were not disappointed. Just a fun relaxing place. We hope to rent again! Four satisfied "customers".

Charming Poconos Condo Has It All

5 of 5
We rented this place as a little getaway with my two year old twins, my wife and my parents. The home was charming, with a nice open layout in the main area, including a beautiful fireplace and a small back deck for eating. The thing we loved about the place was the lakefront. It was a short walk down to the lakefront which had a sand beach and lounge chairs for everyone to use. There was a very reasonable boat rental including kayaks, stand up paddleboards, sailboats and motorboats which rented hourly. The pool was right behind as is a bar and a playground. So we did not ever need to leave the premises. Or if we did for the day we could easily come back at 5pm and spend two hours by the lake before heading back for dinner. Plus, the lake had a trampoline, and even if you are too old for it (as I am) or to young (as my kids are) you could enjoy watching other people's kids jump on it. Only notes are that the home did not have a grill and you must bring your own sheets and towels.
