5 Star host with a MUSEUM STANDARD house

          5 of 5
First off I apologize for missing the review deadline. Maria is a 5-Star professional host. Her house is what I call a MUSEUM STANDARD. I am a father who lives in Tribeca NYC and I'd as soon pay for a hotel rather than deal with anyone else's dirt at all. Le Petite Chalet is the equivalent of a huge penthouse hotel suite in the country and more. Every possible item and piece of info you need is marked, labeled, and printed on the wall under every switch, or in a book she provides, down to where each appliance is in the kitchen is located. There is not one single personal item of the host on the premises. Not a bottle of half opened ketchup or a single piece of clothing. It is 100% cleaned, sanitized, and spotless like a room at the Four Seasons. I really think AirBNB should have a category call #MuseumStandardHouse or #HotelStandardHouse for homes like this, where there are zero personal items and it's like renting a new furnished condo in NYC, except it has a beautiful outdoors and an amazing hot-tub on the porch. So to give you an idea when you open the hot-tub the virgin water is new and clear, heated to 95, and you can't find a piece of lint in the water. This is done for every guest. Also the house is child proofed for very young children. Padded edges on fireplace etc. If you are looking for a place to party stay away. It would be a crime to trash such a beautiful place. If you are a family or responsible adults looking for a place which is truly beautiful, clean, and spacious with a European flair, this is perfect!!!

          A little slice of heaven!

          5 of 5
I must admit that I had some reservations when I learned that the cabin was located directly adjacent to the owners' property - I took my girlfriend out for a weekend getaway and wanted privacy and seclusion - but my worries were quickly put to rest upon our arrival. For starters, the cabin faces the Lehigh river and has its own private viewing area in front of the cabin for lounging and taking in the river. The embankment is a bit steep to access the river from the cabin, but the views and quietude are spectacular. Both Josie and Andrew are very friendly and accommodating. The wood fireplace is a great touch and they offer free firewood which is a huge bonus! My one complaint would be that the wifi signal that reaches the cabin is sketchy at best, but as we wanted to get a bit "off the grid" I didn't particularly mind this limitation. Nevertheless, they could improve the signal if they wanted by purchasing a network extender to give adequate internet access to the cabin. The cabin itself is cozy, yes, but is quite, well, yes the word for it is "charming," I believe. Hopefully you and yours will be generating your own warmth and good vibes should you visit, but the tasteful settings definitely don't hurt to set the mood! Just far enough removed from "civilization" to not hear the traffic over the gentle running of the river, I was quite taken with the scene and found it nourishing to the soul. True to the title of this review, this was a little slice of heaven and I give this rental and the owners the highest marks for their wonderful little share!

Beautiful & Well Maintained Home and Property

          5 of 5
The house and property were absolutely amazing and more than enough room for our group of 18 people. The fire pit, Hot Tub and pool table were all in top shape and excellent sources of entertainment for the group. We cooked all of our meals using the great grill and beautiful kitchen. The property is an excellent location and close to a large number of activities for all types of groups. Our group went paintballing and to the shooting range nearby and spent a large amount of time enjoying the home and property and all of its amenities. Jenn was excellent in coordinating our stay, and providing us the details and information to make our check in through check out process seemless. Jenn was responsive when contacted and helpful when needed. I will absolutely stay with Jenn and Best Mountain homes again in the future, and look forward to staying at this property in the winter months and enjoying the winter activities. Thank you for the beautiful stay!
