Great place to stay at with a small family group.

5 of 5
This rental was a nice clean comfortable place to stay at. The owner did a nice job of communicating instructions for everything. The property was just as described and we found the property to be very clean and well maintained. We loved the area. Folks were very friendly and helpful. We had tickets for events at Penn's Peak and found it easy to get to. The off street parking at the property was convenient. Our first time renting a house and we found it to be a great experience.

PERFECT

5 of 5
This was our second visit. The house is perfect- it is roomy and comfortable. It is clean, well maintained and well equipped. The decor is nice without being over done. The location was perfect for our needs- very convenient from the turnpike and to Jim Thorpe. We were able to have multiple people working in the kitchen at a time and we even had company for dinner, fitting 9 people around the table for a wonderful "family" dinner. The younger folks were able to go downstairs and watch tv or play pool /ping pong when they tired of adult talk. We will most definitely return!

Wonderful house up in the hills!

5 of 5
Property was exactly how it looked in the pictures. Very clean and the kitchen was great with coffee grinders and blenders for morning smoothies. I cooked a great steak dinner on the grill and we had a hardy breakfast every morning. However, if you are a serious baker, there is only a toaster oven instead of a full oven, but it got the job done for our purposes. The water has a high iron content. I'm used to different varieties of well water, but this may catch the city slicker off guard. And there is incredible spring water to drink so don't worry about your coffee tasting weird. House has great ambiance with a wonderful fireplace and all the little games and bookshelves that make this place feel like home. Has squeeky floors which might bother some, but I thought it had character! House is about 40 minutes away from Blue Mountain where we skiied. We meant to go into Jim Thorpe which is less than 5 min away, but made it a lazy Sunday instead. The owner, Trudy, was wonderful and prompt in handling all my questions and concerns. I would highly recommend this place at $200+ a night so needless to say, I was a happy customer.
