Just this side of heaven!

5 of 5
If you're a hiking type, just head south from the cabin and you'll find your way to the Appalachian Trail. Wow. The cabin is everything the listing shows and more. Not only is the home really clean and all set up for your enjoyment, but the peace of the area is remarkable. This was our second visit to Liz and Ken's cabin and we hope to enjoy many more. Tucked away -- keep your eyes peeled for the turn off -- but easy access to everything! We spent one day out in the woods -- the only way is up -- and the other in Reading, which has been beautifully restored. Lots of room to roam, whether you want quiet or a half-hour ride to civilization. Boredom is not an option here! Plenty of wood for a lovely evening round the fireplace. Comfy beds. Great shower. And yes, for those who must, the TV will bring you football, both Saturday and Sunday. Kitchen is well equipped for preparing meals. Just the perfect place for a getaway, with or without the kids. Hope you enjoy your visit as much as we did. It's the real deal.

Philadelphia for Thanksgiving.

5 of 5
We had a wedding the weekend before Thanksgiving in Philadelphia and decided to stay for the holiday and have our daughter join us from DC on the train. We stayed for 8 nights and could not have been happier. The location was perfect- walking to Independence Hall, Liberty bell, Constitution Center and a plethora of shops and restaurants. (Plus the Thanksgiving PARADE and Christmas Village) The condo was so well appointed, down to the French press coffee maker and on an unexpected rainy day there was even an umbrella! The beds were comfortable, the maintenance wonderful, the check in with the keys and the wifi login information were simple and seamless. Josh and Miranda could not have been more helpful before we arrived emailing all our questions promptly and after we left,my husband left his kindle there they even mailed it to us the following Monday! We had a car and parked it around the corner for $19 a day. My only mistake was climbing the 5 flights of stairs with a suitcase before I realized that there was an elevator. Its a great week to spend in the city. Highly recommend.

Great Location; Beautiful Apartment

4 of 5
We were in Philly for a professional conference and chose to stay at Bonnie's house because of the great area and walking distance to the conference. The apartment was VERY clean and fit our needs very well. Towels, coffee maker, ironing board, and laundry materials were included. The apartment was very spacious and was perfect for the 5 of us. A couple things to note about our stay. We had some trouble finding it, so look for the pizza joint out front. The apartment is directly above it! Also, the front door knob is very temperamental. As renters you have access to the above deadbolt, but not the push lock on the door handle. There are signs around the door to remind you and tape over the push lock, however the button is easily pressed in on accident, which will leave you locked out of the apartment. One of us must have accidentally pressed the button because we got locked out in the middle of the night and had to call a locksmith to let us in. Don't make our mistake and test the door before leaving each time! The apartment is in a really fun neighborhood with lots of neighboring bars and restaurants and is walking distance to the liberty bell, independence hall, and the Ben Franklin museum. Although, this does mean it can get quite noisy at night. We stayed out late most nights so It was not a big issue for us, but if you go to bed early then it may be too loud for you. The owner was really great and was very responsive to any questions or concerns that we had. She suggested nearby restaurants and sights to see, which was very nice.
