Wow!

5 of 5
Liz and Ken were fabulous hosts. We arrived at the cottage after dark on Friday and Liz asked that we give her a call to make sure we found the cottage alright. We instantly felt right at home. There was a welcome note and the makings for s'mores on the table. The bedrooms/beds/pillows were VERY comfortable. The cottage was decorated just like a home should be - I loved all the framed illustrations from books. My younger kids loved the loft area and starting playing with all the toys. Liz's binders of attractions and "how-to's" for the house were wonderful - there was not one single question left unanswered. We did a few day trips - to Gettysburg, Philadelphia, New York, Lititz, and Hershey. On our days off, we enjoyed playing all of the games, reading books, making dinner, and toasting s'mores by the fire. I am afraid I've been spoiled by Liz and Ken - will any other vacation ever measure up again :-)

Most Romantic Cottage

5 of 5
We arrived the day after a pretty big snow storm - the grounds were plowed and shoveled. We had no problem finding it, despite the fact that it is DEFINITELY tucked away (in a very good way). Property Owner/Manager was awesome in not only explaining everything about our cottage, but about local eateries, places to go and an unbelievable education on the historics of the villlage! We truly enjoyed listening to both him and his Mom - we were lucky enough to meet her too! Even when just in the planning stages, he recommended "the most romantic restaurant" and supplied the information for contacting them. He was so right! We were celebrating a wedding anniversay and it was just perfect for the occasion. For those reluctant to drink and drive, the restaurant was about a 3 minute walk (even with snow on the ground!) from our cottage! I told him (and I meant it), we intend to come back and catch the other 3 seasons there! It was just wonderful... All the comforts of home in the cottage, even things you wouldn't expect: a Keurig, K-cups, a supply in the bathroom of items you might need (cotton balls and q-tips), shampoo, conditioner, moisturizer! (Who thinks of these things? He does!) I may have packed "my own" things, but it was great to see things like that there in case I forget something in the future. He also gives you his number and tells you not to hesitate to call for anything you might need. To answer the "standard" questions: Yes, I would recommend this to any single or couple look for some peace and quiet, tranquil time. The description was very accurate yet, still did not tell you about all the little touches that were so special. The description conveys the romance of both the cottage and the village, yet somehow, it's even better than you would expect! Excellent customer service, could not have been better! We loved the nearby restaurant for a very romantic dinner (okay, actually 2 because we loved it so much)! We spent 5 hours walking around the nearby shopping village to burn off the wonderful breakfast at a local restaurant in Stockton. We enjoyed the Stockton Market (indoors) as well. We cannot wait to return...
