This was our 3rd year that my sisters and brother and spouses have gone on a mini vacation and each year the place has gotten nicer. Upon arrival my brother in law said each year you top the last one, but I don't think you will top this place. It was clean and the kitchen was well stocked. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room to visit together or go off to yourself if needed. The deck was big and there was enough seating for all of us. The notebook in the kitchen with places to see and places to eat was very helpful, it included menus and directions. We ate at the Freeport restaurant our first evening and was amazed at the quality and quantity of the food. We went back for breakfast the day we left and was also pleased. The owners were very helpful, answering any questions we had and responded quickly. We hope to visit again.

Amazing place to stay!

5 of 5
We found this place last minute for a bachelor party weekend and it was AWESOME! We couldn't ask for more in a place to stay. All we needed was food and beverages. Everything else was there. Full working kitchen was amazing when cooking for 20+ people. Huge fireplace, plenty of seating, and best of all 120 inch projection screen with surround sound for all the Penn State fans to watch the game! The place was clean, and very well maintained. Ryan, the owner, was amazing as well. He was there for whatever we needed, very accommodating, and really did a great job handling a big rowdy group like ours. While there we took advantage of the place as much as we could and ate all our meals at the lodge. We did go to Peak n Peak ski resort for the Zip Line which was also fun. I would highly recommend the Wilderness Lodge to anyone, especially a big group. It exceeded what i had expected for our group and i was greatfull for the hospitality we received. We have already talked about coming back and bringing the wives/kids/girlfriends. Great place, great people, good times. Joe DIvell
