Definitely a home away from home.

This was a great house. It was beautiful and was exactly as described. Everything was immaculately clean and in order. There were plenty of amenities that went beyond what was even in the description; all the comforts of home and then some. Carey (the homeowner) was a joy to communicate with. Everything was prompt and professional. He anticipated everything that we needed and provided for it all! For example, he had an extra bag of charcoal for the charcoal grill AND he had an extra propane tank for the gas grill! We did A LOT of grilling that weekend so that was a great touch! The hot tub was perfect for the cold weather. It was super clean and definitely well kept. There was plenty of space for everyone and plenty of things to keep everyone entertained. Another added bonus was plenty of space for parking. We had a pretty large group and very few were able to carpool, but the property had ample parking space. The secluded property even allowed us to spend time outside around the fire pit without fear of disturbing any neighbors. If you are looking for a great vacation rental with a great owner, I highly recommend this property. I would definitely rent this space again.

Great for families!

5 of 5
Cozy yet spacious and very clean....owners have thought of everything, from little notes posted around the house to help you find what you need, to phone numbers and a large binder of "Things to do". Our vacation included our family of four (two children, ages 4 and 5), plus two grandparents, and there was plenty of room for us all. The house was stocked with plenty of board games, toys, books for both children and adults, and even beach chairs. We had a great time fishing off the dock, kayaking and canoeing. The Camelback ski area/Camelbeach & Adventures is about a 10-15 minute drive and has something for everyone. We spent a whole day at the Camelbeach water park, plus another half day riding the mountain coaster and jumping on the bungee trampoline (well, the kids did that!). There's a small beach in the community that the kids loved (a playground right there) and also an outdoor pool right around the corner. All in all, had a wonderful time....when your four-year-old cries when it's time to leave ("I don't want to leave the Pocono house!"), you know it's a great vacation! Thanks, Neva & Brian!!
