        Great Wedding Weekend!

        5 of 5
Thanks for all you did to make our wedding weekend so special. All of our guests absolutely adored the Quarry Hill Farm and it's amazing vistas. The beds were comfortable and the kitchens were so well-stocked with tools and wares that we really didn't need to bring anything! We received many compliments on our venue choice.

        AMAZING!

        5 of 5
Our stay at Hemlock Pointe Lodge was surreal. A "man's weekend" of fourteen guys fit comfortably into the massive lodge. We were so secluded, we were able to let loose without worries of noise violations and angry neighbors. The property is nestled about 1 mile from any highway, and even further from a town or city. The house is directly adjacent to a private lake. Even if you're not into canoeing or kayaking, just waking up to this beautiful site is enough to float your boat. Inside, there are plenty of things to occupy you if the weather isn't cooperating, including a variety of table games, an amazing kitchen for cooking, board games, dvds, and a HUGE plasma television. And you have wifi if you need it! I was completely sold on this rental house as soon as I drove down the driveway and saw it for the first time, and I'm sure you will be too. Can't wait to get back!

The Elk Roundhouse is Perfect for Large Groups

        5 of 5
This property is nestled on over 40 acres of land that appears to have been a farm at one time. The house is very open and spacious, and the kitchen/dining/family area is gigantic. The owner and the caretaker provided excellent service, and even offered to provide a continental breakfast. There is also a Country Store just 1 mile from the house that has the necessities and hot food made to order. When we return again we will be there for a family reunion, kids and all. The wrap around deck is the perfect place to have an outside meal, and the kids can run around outside in the wide open space. There is a volley ball net, table tennis, and tetherball on the property. Nearby (within 5 minutes) there is the Panarama 18 hole golf course. Also 20 minutes south on 247 is a state park that is a real gem for nature hiking which also has a playground. There is a grocery store in Clifford that has a deli and bakery, and the people just couldn't be nicer. There are quite a few antique shops have been open all summer/fall, and a few will stay open through the winter in Carbondale, Lenoxville and the surrounding area. What is most wonderful about this property is the privacy and quiet. We just wanted to get away from it all. Each day we spotted white tail deer in the back yard, and wildlife on the drive. The scenery is absolutely gorgeous and the stars have never looked so brilliant at night. I needed to do some work on my laptop and was glad to know there was wireless internet access all through the house! The location of this property is on the outskirts of Forest City, PA. The best way to find it is to set your GPS for the intersection of PA-2027 and RT 247 (this is Dundaff Corners, where the Country Store is located at the blinking yellow lights), then 1.1 mile further at the bottom of the steep hill, turn into the first driveway on the left across from the mailboxes. I would not hesitate to recommend this property to a large family, group, church, or men's or women's group for a place to get away, have fun, and enjoy nature in rustic luxury.
