Our most favorite place ever

5 of 5
My husband, dog and I spent memorial day weekend at the Governor's retreat and we cannot wait to return. The photos do not do this place justice. It truly is magical. We enjoyed hiking nearby, there were several really great restaurants and unique shops, and best of all, we were ably to truly relax. Close to everything, but we felt like we were worlds away. Lee and Sonda were wonderful hosts.

Great place

5 of 5
Wonderful property and experience, exactly as in the description. The lake is not huge but has plenty of biting fish, turtles, and frogs. The kids loved fishing and taking the boats out several times a day; there are blueberry bushes near the water. The place is utterly quiet at night. Location was ideal for seeing the Delaware Water Gap and the many nearby waterfalls and hikes. The house is spacious with a large common area (two couches and several comfy chairs) and three bedrooms, one with a bunk bed for kids. Not mentioned above is that the house is well stocked - games, books, fishing rods, spices, condiments, utensils, linens, etc. Dylan is also very responsive and great to work with.

Great times.

Fantastic chateau with all the comforts of home. Very clean and well organized. A little buggy inside but were mostly moths, to be expected though being in the middle of a forest. Tons of wildlife such as deer, bears, flying squirrels, foxes and so much more. Hot tub was excellent and got used a lot. Lots of room to move around inside and out. Bring your own charcoal and a saw to cut your own fire wood for the fire pit. 9 hour drive to get there but was well worth it.
