Charming property!

5 of 5
Stayed in this house for several days while visiting relatives in the Carlisle area for Christmas. Charming combination of period pieces and modern conveniences. Particularly loved the collection of historical prints and family photos (some from the 1800s!) throughout the home. Cozy sitting room with gas fireplace just outside the master bedroom had a nice view and was a great place to curl up with a book. The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of hot water for showers for a family of four. Would stay there again.

Thanksgiving Weekend 2014

5 of 5
We stayed in the Glass Gable (south) for the Thanksgiving Weekend with friends from Ohio. As we are from Long Island, NY it was a great half way point to meet. The house itself is beautiful. It is beautifully furnished, well stocked with all the necessary items we needed, and was even decorated inside and out for the holiday season. Even with seven people in the group, we had plenty of room for everyone and there is plenty of space to have privacy if needed. We had a small issue with the wifi that Diana responded to promptly and she was courteous and very welcoming allowing us to arrive early due to a snowstorm. We enjoyed the proximity to town, dining, shopping, and a local movie theater. Gettysburg was less than a half hour away and is a must see destination if your in the area. We all enjoyed our weekend very much and highly recommend Glass Gables to all.

Lovely home, lovely owner

We love the Glass Gable! We have stayed there 3 years in a row and while we normally stay in the house, we found the apartment to be equally well equipped and cozy. The owner is very friendly and helpful. You can't go wrong with this rental.
