Fantastic Weekend Getaway

5 of 5
The Tree House-from the fire pit to the bedrooms-was an excellent place to relax and unwind from our hectic lives. The feeling of seclusion in the forest, contrasting with the Tree House's homely atmosphere created a unique experience. The towns and markets nearby had its own charm, too. We had such a nice time that leaving was not easy!

A Wonderful Family Gathering Place

5 of 5
Our stay at this lovely house on the river was pure fun and relaxation thanks to the owner's thoughtfulness. The house is so well -planned and equipped that everyone from a toddler to an octogenarian, and all in between, had a wonderful time. There was ample space for privacy and multiple sites for full gatherings. Our every need from croquet set to laundry detergent was anticipated and met. We particularly enjoyed the canoe and kayaks and easy access to the river from the dock off the back lawn, charming Frenchtown nearby, and the host of things available to do as a family. The kitchen was spacious and accommodated multiple cooks and their "gadget" needs. The bedrooms/baths were spotless and very comfortable an d the fourth floor loft was a delight to our three preteens who loved their "suite in the sky." The piano and uke were a special surprise for our musical members and the TV area with full seating capacity was great for our World Cup followers. Our only regret was not booking the house for more than five days. We are all hoping to return for a longer visit soon.

Spectacular River Property

5 of 5
We spent a full month at this wonderful property and were sad to leave at the end. The house far exceeded our expectations in terms of location, view, amenities, beauty and comfort. We enjoyed the modern, well-equipped kitchen, the beautiful master bedroom, the five decks with panoramic river views and the Delaware Canal towpath one step outside the front door. The property is extensive and isolated from all neighbors but close to great parks and recreation. We had many visitors and one commented that she felt like she was on a movie set! Our landlord, Robbie, was responsive and helpful. The house was very convenient to Milford and Frenchtown NJ with lots of shops and good restaurants. The only downsides were the lack of a bathroom on the first floor and the steep stairway. Also, it would have been nice to have bikes available for use on the towpath (we managed to rent them for the month). Overall, our experience was exceptional.
