Hidden Gem!

4 of 5
My husband and I wanted a quick getaway for our anniversary and found this cabin/hidden gem on homeaway.com. We truly enjoyed ourselves! This cabin is perfect for 2 people. It's cozy, clean, like new, quiet, and had the the most spectacular view! We had fun building a fire, cooking out on the grill, and just being away from the everyday hustle & bustle. The owners were very nice, welcoming, and responsive if we needed anything. We plan on going back, told our friends, and would recommend this place to anyone. And while you're there take a ride to Piggy's Restaurant (serves breakfast and lunch) located in Lake Harmony. Piggy's had the best French toast. Great getaway!!!!!!

Wonderful getaway on the Lehigh!

5 of 5
Five stars for sure. Even better than expected. Great location right on Lehigh river with an awesome view out the living room large sliding glass doors/windows and screened in porch. Very tasteful decor throughout and extremely clean and comfortable. A Buck paid us a visit one morning eating apples that had fallen from the tree and saw several deer one evening. Full kitchen had all needed appliances and supplies for our many meals. Several restaurant options a few minutes away in Blakeslee as well as a full supermarket. Great nearby hiking. Terrific customer service from owner replying to emails when planning trip, did not need anything on site. I will be back and recommend this property and their smaller neighboring one to anyone wanting a nice getaway.

A perfect weekend getaway!

5 of 5
A perfect lake house for a relaxing weekend away of the hustle and bustle of the city (only 1 hour 45 min drive from NYC). The house is beautiful, very well maintained, clean, and spacious- it sleeps 6 adults VERY comfortably (we were 3 couples, each got their own room with a room with a queen size bed, which was perfect). Super market, liqueur store, CVS and a Wawa convenience store are all a 3 min drive away. We also drove 10 min to the nearest Amish Farmers Market on Saturday. The lake is beautiful and feels very private although the swimming beach is just next door (which is perfect for families with kids and wasn't crowded at all). The house has a paddle boat and a row boat for the guests' disposal and they were also in great shape and served us very well. The kitchen is comfortable and well equipped and the back deck with the umbrella covered outside dining table and the large grill made our weekend dining experience even better. Janet (the owner) is super responsive (even late at night on Friday..) and provided great customer service and was very nice to us in general. I'd recommend this vacation house for anybody who wants some peace and quiet, to sit on a lazy chair looking at the lake (amazing sunsets can be seen from the middle of it, if you care to take the boat out ;)) or wants some safe space for the kids to enjoy a bit of nature. I'd also come back in a heartbeat! P.S. Don't forget to bring your own DVDs, and towels (for bathing, washing, hand towels for the bathrooms and kitchen and dish towels too ;))
