We Keep Coming Back

5 of 5
We just recently enjoyed our third stay at Jeanne and Andrew’s wonderful property. From our very first contact with Jeanne we have had nothing but positive experiences. We got a very fast response to our first inquiry and found all dealings to be both pleasant and professional. Jeanne provided plenty of useful information about the house and the area, and was very prompt with any questions or concerns we had. Our security deposits have always been returned quickly. We left behind some items on our first stay and Jeanne sent them to us quickly. We stayed with our three boys aged 7 to 11 and two small dogs. Upon entering the house you instantly feel welcome and at home. Sometimes when you rent a pet friendly house you have to lower your standards a bit due to the wear and tear that can occur, but that is not the case in this home, it is immaculate. The house is tastefully decorated and provides all the comforts of home. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook and prepare meals. Everything is in good working order and well organized. The refrigerator, dishwasher and cooking area were perfectly clean and a joy to use. On our last visit we noticed a new, larger dining room table that seated all of us comfortably with room for more. One of our favorite features of the house is the great room, with a large sectional couch and the huge stone chimney and propane fireplace. Overlooking the great room is a billiards room with electronic dartboard, which provided hours of entertainment. The first floor bedroom has a great king bed with very nice furniture and a ton of closet space. There is a full bathroom with a shower just outside of this bedroom as well as the laundry area with washer and dryer. The full bathroom on the second floor also has a bathtub. One bedroom here has a queen bed and a bunk set. The other bedroom has very nice queen bed setup. All the rooms have plenty of storage and were decorated with appropriate details that reminded you of the beautiful natural setting you are in. The huge wrap around deck is great in nicer weather with a propane grill and patio table. The hot tub is close to the patio door (great when it’s freezing out)and has always been perfectly clean. The house provides plenty of privacy from neighbors, and is peaceful but also conveniently located near dining, shopping and the community's features. We are very grateful to Jeanne and Andrew for sharing this great place and look forward to our next stay!

Our experience was AWESOME!

5 of 5
Our family of 28 was very comfortable in this home! Although we thought the description said 6 bedrooms, we had 4 babies who slept in their pack and play. We were there for 4 days and went out 2 of the 4 days. Everything you need is conveniently near by. The home is very well kept! And we all enjoyed playing on the frozen lake. We would love to come back to this home and do summer things. We were very satisfied with our stay and the property owners were very kind to us. I would definitely recommend this property to any family or friends going to the Poconos.

A perfect weekend getaway!

5 of 5
A perfect lake house for a relaxing weekend away of the hustle and bustle of the city (only 1 hour 45 min drive from NYC). The house is beautiful, very well maintained, clean, and spacious- it sleeps 6 adults VERY comfortably (we were 3 couples, each got their own room with a room with a queen size bed, which was perfect). Super market, liqueur store, CVS and a Wawa convenience store are all a 3 min drive away. We also drove 10 min to the nearest Amish Farmers Market on Saturday. The lake is beautiful and feels very private although the swimming beach is just next door (which is perfect for families with kids and wasn't crowded at all). The house has a paddle boat and a row boat for the guests' disposal and they were also in great shape and served us very well. The kitchen is comfortable and well equipped and the back deck with the umbrella covered outside dining table and the large grill made our weekend dining experience even better. Janet (the owner) is super responsive (even late at night on Friday..) and provided great customer service and was very nice to us in general. I'd recommend this vacation house for anybody who wants some peace and quiet, to sit on a lazy chair looking at the lake (amazing sunsets can be seen from the middle of it, if you care to take the boat out ;)) or wants some safe space for the kids to enjoy a bit of nature. I'd also come back in a heartbeat! P.S. Don't forget to bring your own DVDs, and towels (for bathing, washing, hand towels for the bathrooms and kitchen and dish towels too ;))
