Sickest House Ever!

5 of 5
First of all, Kara and Rob are the most honest people up in the Poconos as my Group of 40 plus people have been renting up in the Poconos for 7 years now and some of the owners are shady as hellll!! Kara and Rob told us like it is from day one and they are just straight up, cool people! Once we met them and they showed us this house, we knew that they were a perfect fit for our group. Now onto the house, it's out of control AWESOME!! 20 of us ate dinner in the kitchen and the massive kitchen tables and our personal chef that we hired for the weekend had everything that an Executive Chef could ever want or need to cook for a large group. The bedrooms were spotless, air conditioning in every room was huge, plenty of bathrooms for our group, a ridiculous front yard with a volleyball net that we absolutely took advantage of as well as the fire pit. We played football, Cornhole, sat out front with the grill cooking food and had the best weekend of all-time. The beach was a 5 minute walk. I have to say that the relaxation of renting from Kara and Rob was second to none as we've had some TERRIBLE experiences like Michael Coombs houses which are a NIGHTMARE!! This past summer we rented from them again in 2014 with an even larger group at 45 people with multiple houses owned by Kara and Rob and had an even better time and now in 2015 our group will be at 50 people and I already locked in dates with them. I have 3 words for you: RENT THIS HOUSE!!

A perfect weekend getaway!

5 of 5
A perfect lake house for a relaxing weekend away of the hustle and bustle of the city (only 1 hour 45 min drive from NYC). The house is beautiful, very well maintained, clean, and spacious- it sleeps 6 adults VERY comfortably (we were 3 couples, each got their own room with a room with a queen size bed, which was perfect). Super market, liqueur store, CVS and a Wawa convenience store are all a 3 min drive away. We also drove 10 min to the nearest Amish Farmers Market on Saturday. The lake is beautiful and feels very private although the swimming beach is just next door (which is perfect for families with kids and wasn't crowded at all). The house has a paddle boat and a row boat for the guests' disposal and they were also in great shape and served us very well. The kitchen is comfortable and well equipped and the back deck with the umbrella covered outside dining table and the large grill made our weekend dining experience even better. Janet (the owner) is super responsive (even late at night on Friday..) and provided great customer service and was very nice to us in general. I'd recommend this vacation house for anybody who wants some peace and quiet, to sit on a lazy chair looking at the lake (amazing sunsets can be seen from the middle of it, if you care to take the boat out ;)) or wants some safe space for the kids to enjoy a bit of nature. I'd also come back in a heartbeat! P.S. Don't forget to bring your own DVDs, and towels (for bathing, washing, hand towels for the bathrooms and kitchen and dish towels too ;))

I was here during first week of Jan with my my school buddies. Enjoyed the house. We were mostly playing pool, watching TV and having some good time. They have great customer service. Some of my friends are planning to come back in summer.
