A quiet, simple retreat!

5 of 5
From our first view of the charming rustic cabin, we knew we had found a perfect hideaway for a few days of downtime and unwinding, but we had also lucked into an updated and comfortable retreat. This cabin is perfect for two, provides a charming living room with a fireplace (with excellent draw for fires) and comfy seating, a cozy bedroom with clean linens and nice accessories, and a galley kitchen equipped with everything you need to prepare meals if you choose to do so. The bathroom is nicely updated, and the towels provided were quite luxurious and a welcome change from the skimpy ones often found in some hotels. Heating was fine with thermostats in each room, and hot water was almost immediate and plentiful. We thoroughly enjoyed heating up the few meals we had brought with us, coffee and quiche in the mornings, entrees from a caterer at home which we had thought to bring along so that we didn't need to go out if we didn't care to do so. There are a few bars and a diner where one could eat nearby, but it was really perfect to sit in front of a cozy fire and enjoy the quiet and company of one another. We appreciated the excellent WiFi service as well as the Bluetooth. We awoke to about an inch of snow on the morning of our departure, and the effect on the general landscape and the banks of the Lehigh River running past the cabin door left an image that will beckon us to return.

Wonderful experience!

My boyfriend and I took a weekend getaway to this lovely, cozy cottage. We simply loved it. Everything was great from start to finish. It was the perfect place to just sit back, relax, and unwind. The kitchen was very useful to us and we loved the living room with the fireplace and tv. We were just minutes away from Jack Frost mountain where we enjoyed a day of tubing, too. It was very convenient and so much fun! The house is located in a quaint, peaceful area with a great view to wake up to in the morning. I loved looking out the bedroom french doors and seeing the snow. Grant was very reliable and easy to get in touch with. We will definitely be back and renting this home again!

Wonderful, serene retreat

5 of 5
My family and I chose to spend our Thanksving holiday weekend here and thoroughly enjoyed it. The peaceful and beautiful surroundings and the charming cabin provided the rest and relaxation we were seeking. We spent many nights enjoying roaring fires in the living room as it was cold and snowy the whole time we were there. The kitchen was just the right size and included a small dining area, which was perfect for our family meals. When not inside, we enjoyed exploring our picturesque surroundings including the Lehigh River and historic Stoddardtsville. Also, I can't say enough about the service and hospitality of Adam and Grant. Our car got stuck in eight inches of snow and Grant came and plowed us out with his tractor. He also made sure all the walkways were cleared. Our family looks forward to spending future vacations at this wonderful spot.
