This was our first visit to the Poconos and wow did we have fun! In searching for a place to stay my eye was caught by 'The Homestead' and boy did this property deliver, Everything listed in the property description was exactly as described. We loved that we could enter through the garage, where we could safely store our mountain bikes and in the winter would be a perfect place to leave skis and snowboards. The mud room, accessible via the garage, also has plenty of hanging space for wet clothes after a day of snow play. The washer and dryer are also right there for use.
The Homestead is fastidiously clean and well organized! I felt like I could immediately start preparing a meal for my family without a quick cleaning first. There is plenty of seating in the dining room or out on the front porch. We also barbequed and took our food to the fire pit. Our teenage sons felt the need to build a fire every night and there was plenty of kindling and wood available. The living room has a great comfortable very large U-shaped sectional couch. We were able to keep up on our Netflix (provided as part of the rental). The sleeping arrangements were fantastic! Our family used three of the beds and the mattresses were the best we've ever slept on in any rental home or hotel room.
The property is beautiful. We had a great time hiking around and through the stream that runs through the property. We felt like we were all alone way out in the woods on our own little piece of mountain paradise!
The property owner, Michael, was accessible at all times and checked in on us to make sure all was well and if we had any questions or concerns.
In short, our Poconos vacation was fabulous! We hiked, biked and went white water rafting and were able to come back to The Homestead every afternoon to hang out. Everything was perfect! We will be back soon!
