I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
I was more than happy with the location.
The vacation rental was spotless.
The property manager was more than helpful.
Overall, I recommend this vacation rental.
My family and I enjoyed our weekend and the cabin. We especially enjoyed the fruit trees and bushes around the house. Another feature we liked was the outside fire pit. Also the large front porch with chairs and swing was nice. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. We loved the location of the cabin. It was close to white water rafting, the natural water slides, biking trails and zip lining which were the activities we planned to do. There were few negatives about our stay at Schaefer house. One negative is that the pictures online made it look like the cabin was away from any other houses or roads, which is what my family and I wanted. However the Schaefer house is actually right next to another house and the road. This is not a big deal, it's just not what we were expecting and hoping for. Another negative was the fact that there was only one bathroom for 8 people to share. This was not a big deal either; it just would have been nice to have a second bathroom. Lastly, we are extremely thankful that Ohiopyle Vacation Rentals were understanding and kind enough to refund August 1st Friday due to the fact that my grandpa, my dad's father, passed away July 29th therefore we could not stay at Schaefer house Friday night because the funeral was Saturday morning. Our complaint is that we were refunded only the $250 and not the 9% tax associated with it. Therefore we are paying for the taxes related to Friday night, when in fact we did not stay Friday night. Which according to the rental agreement there's a total of 9% tax therefore that's $22.50 for one night's stay. Not a huge deal, but if I'm being refunded something it only makes sense that the taxes associated would also be refunded. All in all, we had a fun, family weekend at Schaefer house in Ohiopyle and that's what matters. Yes, I would stay in a house through OVR again and yes, I would recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in the Ohiopyle area.
