A BEAUTIFUL, SPACIOUS HOME FOR REUNIONS!

                5 of 5
Liz and Ernie, the property owners, were extremely efficient and considerate in their timely communication from the very start of the inquiry process to the follow-up after check-out. Dealing with them has been a pleasure. The few questions or issues that arose were quickly answered/resolved with their thorough responses. The Pros: -There are lots of opportunities for a large family to gather (open living room/dining room/kitchen, beautiful deck, amazingly large game room in the basement - all with plenty of seating for everyone). -The location is ideal for a group with varied interests. We were within close proximity to all of the listed community amenities, Jim Thorpe, white water rafting, mine tours, Bear Mountain Butterfly Sanctuary (a personal highlight!), and excellent restaurants. The house itself is situated among other homes, but it maintains its privacy with woods around it. We saw deer walking on the property on a daily basis. -The assortment of bathrooms and bedrooms with different bed sizes/combinations worked well for multiple families. -All of the rules, guidelines and directions were easy to find, printed in a book on the kitchen island. -The game room was amazing. The shuffleboard table was definitely a highlight! -The various fridges/coolers, and bar were perfect for making our own food and drinks. -The tv's in each room were a nice touch. The large ones in the living room and game room were quite nice for movies! -There were iPod docks to play music in the general areas - this really added some fun to the environment. The Cons: -The ice maker on the fridge didn't work. (However, Liz got back to me within minutes of me asking her about it - very efficient!) -Although the entire place appeared to be perfectly clean, the hard floor was a little sticky/tacky when you walked on it, but we think it was just because of what was used when cleaning (or, it could be because of the wax from the shuffleboard table). Either way, it didn't really bother us after the first day. -The long list of property and community rules/regulations was intimidating. However, after taking the time to read them, it's apparent that they are mostly common sense and intended to keep the community safe and clean. I would definitely recommend this property to others, and I think the whole family (all 19 of us) would agree! Hopefully we can return for another family reunion!

                BACHELOR PARTY WEEKEND

                4 of 5
Completely forgot to write a review after we left. We rented this place for a fall-ish bachelor party for a good friend of mine. We wanted to be close to the white water rapids and the paintball fields. Overall we had a great time and the house easily accommodated the group that came along. Alex was very helpful and even gave us a discount for due to the season. Pros - House was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked. The grill and outside patio are awesome. The beds were comfy and the bathrooms were clean with an awesome tub. Cons - have to drive to the lake or take a longer walk. The pool table and pool sticks weren't well maintained so we didn't even end up using it. Overall, great experience and I'd recommend it to any large groups/families.
