A very pleasant stay on the Playa Blanca resort.

4 of 5
A very pleasant stay on the Playa Blanca resort in Panama. The apartment was clean and well provisioned. The pool was clean and refreshing and the beach was a short walking away, with a man made lake/pool just down the street. The internet worked well allowing us to keep in contact with our children. Be careful on arriving like most of Panama the speed bumps are everywhere and huge! The security at the resort is 24/7 and very friendly, we felt safe and well looked after. I look forward to a future stay.

Casita Azul. Perfect in every way.

4 of 5
Last New Years Eve, we rented this lovely home to celebrate the holidays. Our stay was PERFECT, not a single problem. We didn't want to leave Boquete and the house. The location is PERFECT. Walking distance to town, but far enough from the noise and traffic. The house is very COZY, comfortable, clean & spacious. Every room is well ventilated, (No A/C needed) and has its own private shower and bathroom. The kitchen small, but open to the living room which makes it practical and inviting. White picked fence, giant river stones and a wall of giant pine trees surrounds back and front yard. The garden is beautifully landscape with a permeating smell of various flowers, citrus and fruit trees. At night you will fall asleep to the soothing sounds of the nearby water creek while the gentle cool breeze from the mountains ventilates the entire house. If this is your first time in Boquete, this house is perfect for you, spacious, comfortable, clean and close to everything walking distance. I would stay here again and would recommend this house to any of my friends and family, visiting Boquete.

Nice getaway

4 of 5
We stayed in this Villa the last week in February 2015. Our goal was to snorkel and we did but we just happened to be there when the 40-day Humboldt current arrived so the water was sometimes colder and cloudier than normal. However, most days we could swim and enjoy the beach. The Villa was just like the pictures and the caretaker arranged the turn-around on Saturday between the prior renters who couldn't get the ferry until 3:30, and us arriving in the morning by plane. It worked out fine. We walked to the beaches each day and only rented a cart from the caretaker for one day to see the entire island and to go to dinner at Tortuga one evening. Driving home in the dark with the little headlamp on the golf cart was quite the adventure. The Villa is exactly 100 steps from the beach but there are landings and walkways in between so it's not difficult. We are 68 and 70 years old and we did fine. The plus side is the breeze from the ocean swoops up to the deck of this villa creating the most wonderful cooling affect on warm afternoons. We thoroughly enjoyed the deck in the mornings and afternoons but got chased inside by mosquitos about 5:30 each night. Tip: If anyone in your group is sensitive to bites, bring along mosquito repellent which you'll only need when you go out to dinner or you want to stand on the deck at night and stare at the stars. The wi-fi worked fine once we figured it out. The water on the island is not drinkable including in the villa. We made the mistake of buying a large flat of bottles - very expensive. We should have bought water in gallon jugs and bought just four bottles to refill. Both the information center and the dive shop (right next door to each other) will explain the best snorkeling spots. The folks at the dive shop were very helpful and we took one snorkel trip with them to the outer islands. The island went through a crazy building phase and now has some abandoned hotels and resorts. It's kind of sad walking past them to get to the good snorkeling spots. While we were there the filter and pump in the pool was broken. We never went in. We saw people go in the murky pool but it looked too icky for us. We did, however, really appreciate the outdoor shower next to the pool to clean off all the beach sand. Favorite Restaurant = Rincon but Gerald's was good and very handy. We advise you bring your own bar soap or body wash, and a small container of laundry soap. Dish soap is provided.
