Relaxing and away from it all

4 of 5
Costa Grande was great. It was fantastic to have the grill and the back patio setup, where we cooked amazing dinners with the fresh catch from the fish market. We spent a lot of time in the pool and hanging out with the neighbors. The wifi was perfect. Mayela was very friendly and helpful in making sure we had everything we needed and everything in the house was working properly. Everything was clean, the listing was accurate, the pool was wonderful. The one downside was that we didn't end up with a rental car, for a variety of reasons, and ended up feeling pretty stuck. We had a hard time getting cabs at the place. I know we had the phone from Mayela but many of the numbers didn't work so we typically just walked a ways until we found a cab or got to the main road for a bus. Coming from America, I forget that the speed of life in LatAm slows down so much, so we found it hard to find things to do. Overall though, it was an incredibly relaxing get away and I would absolutely recommend working with Jason and Mayela for your next visit.

Complete Panamanian Beach Experience

5 of 5
I'm originally from Panama but I've been living in Miami, FL for the past 14 years so I was looking for a house with a real Panamanian feel and I hit the jackpot with this house!. I went for 4 nights with my family and friends (husband, 2 boys, mother, ant and 2 friends) and had a wonderful time. The view of the house is just unique!, it looks directly to a local surf spot, the beach called playa Teta so there was activity around us during the day which was lots of fun. The beach is beautiful and you can enjoy it even better when is low tide. The house itself is well maintained, very cozy and relax but with all the necessary commodities like tv cable, wifi, full kitchen and a/c. The property sits on a hill with plenty of space to play around. In the case of my boys they were more than happy to be able to roam around with no trouble. We will definitely be back to this house in the near future. We made great memories in this house.

Should be Called: Out-of-this-World Awesome Over-the-Water House

5 of 5
A few friends and I stayed at this house in late March of 2014. Our expectations were surpassed in every single way. The location alone is worth every penny, not to mention the absolutely amazing views of ocean wildlife from the back porch. We loved being "off the grid", and yet still not too far away from town. Kayaking, snorkeling, gazing, napping, eating, swimming, cannon-balling, laughing, listening, pointing (at all the varied fish) fishing, snorkeling some more, and just appreciating the beauties around us were how we filled our days. Just be warned, however - don't stay here unless you're prepared to have all your subsequent vacations seem quite lame! This place sets the vacation bar very very high. I've traveled to many places on this big blue planet, and this could quite possibly be my favorite spot ever. Highly recommend staying here if you're lucky enough to be traveling to Panama. As Arnold would say, "I'll be back"!
