This is perfect if you're with the one or ones you love, and you are looking for surreal serenity in a lush tropical setting. Every morning the water off the patio would evoke desires to ice skate more than paddle board as it was ever so glassy. Yet, mischievous us never minded to disturb the mirror still waters by tossing in our kayaks or paddle boards. Our friends the dolphins were playing, and we wanted to say hi. They're most active in the mornings we found.
After we cooked lobster tail omelets and ate bananas off our property for breakfast, there was always an excursion available. Snorkeling, jet skiing, beautiful beach combing, chocolate farms to explore, etc. We didn't do everything we could, as some days we were content to lounge in our swimsuits at the house and read and sleep, and kayak and snorkel and etc all day.
In the evenings, we enjoyed coming back around sunset and cooking gourmet meals, listening to tunes, and drinking wine while watching the thousands of harmless tiny bats create black specks in front of the beautiful sunset as they race past us out to feast. Many nights, we would enjoy spectacular lightening and thunder storms with our dinner (under a water tight patio roof).
There are many fans to keep the place cool.
There are comfortable enough furnishings.
There are (obvi) beautiful 360's.
There is a caring and attentive liaison at the dolphin bay hideaway hotel 3 minutes boat ride away.
There is no crime here whatsoever.
There are indigenous families rowing past your dock in dugout kayukas every morning and evening.
There is a family on the property in case of emergency. Far enough for privacy, but close enough to ensure a feeling of safe well being.
If you're down for truly unforgettable, magical experiences, at your own pace and by your own rules, then you will enjoy this.
Thank you, Julia, for making such an incredible property, and for allowing us a wondrous week to enjoy it.
