Lovely home!

5 of 5
We rented this large home for our extended family, while attending our son's wedding close by. It was a great house for lots of people, with many living areas, both inside and out. The kitchen was very well-equipped, even with fresh coffee, which we all had forgotten to bring! The location is great for wine-touring or just being out in the country. The property manager was helpful and easy to work with. We loved all the hand-made natural wood furnishings and tasteful decor throughout, as the photos show.

FABULOUS COTTAGE!!!!!

5 of 5
Words can't describe how adorable this cottage is!!! Pictures don't do it justice!! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and toured all over Oregon while we were there. We arrived to the cottage late at night and thank goodness there was a sign right before the cottage, because the cottage is very secluded and dark up on that hill, but made it very romantic. It had all the amenities that we needed inside and a cozy fireplace, plus waterfalls on the property were nice to hear while outside relaxing, and wouldn't have changed a thing!!! Thank you so much for making our stay so enjoyable and relaxing and wonderful!!! Will definitely recommend this to our friends and want to come back again one day soon!!!!

Wedding Weekend

5 of 5
This was a wonderful place for my husband and me to rest and refresh ourselves during the hustle and bustle surrounding our daughter's nearby wedding at a private home. We only regret having virtually no time to really explore the immediate area, say hello to the goats, walk in the woods, use the BBQ or sit outside in the evenings by a fire and listen to the crickets with a glass of wine... much less do any exploring of the larger area and wineries. What we did enjoy was a luxurious, restful suite with everything we needed, and more. We were greeted with a sweet note and breakfast cookies, though for me the real treat was in the fridge. We had planned to bring groceries and prepare some meals, but were never there to eat, as it turned out. Still, I MUST have my coffee ASAP in the morning, so was happy to find a jar in the cupboard.. but expected to tough it out and drink it black. The cute jar of fresh cream in the fridge was a complete and utter surprise. Perfect! As for the general area, as this was a very warm summer wedding week, we needed lots of ice, so stopped a couple of times in Gaston to pick it up. We were impressed by the small town friendliness, not only in the Gaston Market, but outside as well. Every car -yes, every single vehicle- traveling along Highway 47 stopped to let us cross the street as we shuffled back and forth, carrying bags of ice to our car. Small town hospitality at its best. I think the only thing we would suggest has already been mentioned. Even after several trips to the location, it was difficult for us to see in advance when we were arriving at the driveway (at least from the east). So, by the time we saw the "Horse Boarding" sign, it was a little late to signal to the car behind that we needed to make a sudden, sharp turn up a gravel drive. I'm not sure what can be done there, but if there is an option for more signs, that would be great. We would definitely love to return for more relaxing stay, and check out the wineries.
