Perfect Family Getaway

5 of 5
This was our 3rd year to stay on the McKenzie. absolutely love it! The best place on the McKenzie! Gorgeous views from the house & decks. We enjoyed getting up every morning and have coffee by the river, so relaxing. We had our family from Laguna Beach stay with us they couldn't get enough of the river. Fishing, Floating and watching waterfowl by the river. One night we even had a visit from a very cute fox. Our nights were just as relaxing. Cooking all our meals on the Treager even the rainbow trout! Fire river side every evening. We couldn't have asked for better weather! If you haven't been to Oregon in the summer on the McKenzie River you are missing out! So much to do if you enjoy the exploring too. Blue Pool, Clear Lake, Cougar Reservoir just to name a few day trips we took from the house. Sisters for lunch one day was a gorgeous short drive away. You can walk the to the Vida Cafe they make a great breakfast. We are so blessed to been able to celebrate our wedding anniversary and two family birthdays during our stay. We all love this place they have thought of everything to make their home be a perfect family get away! The Black Family Eugene Oregon ♡

Amazing & wonderful place for a special occasion!

5 of 5
We came for Valentine’s Day and found our hearts’ delight… a perfect getaway. The cabin is amazing for its lovely solitude, river sights & sounds, and general comfort level. It is spacious and quietly elegant without being pretentious. I even marveled at the craftsmanship and quality materials throughout. The kitchen is gorgeous and well-equipped; the dining area and living room are all inviting and cozy; and the bedrooms offer soft natural light, muffled and soothing river sounds, and lovely beds and mattresses. You’ll find it easy to take that long winter’s nap. The location would be hard to beat, about an hour up the lovely McKenzie Valley from Eugene, in a location rich in environmental aesthetics. The cabin sits near the banks of the river, close upon the Belknap Bridge, and walking distance from good local restaurants and a general store. Hiking trails begin almost at the driveway. But the best part may well be that you don’t have to be ambitious to enjoy a special occasion here. Bring a book, your journal or something to write, kick off your shoes, and allow Belknap cabin to work its special quiet magic. You will not be disappointed.

Only mistake was not planning to stay longer!

5 of 5
Anyone who rents this property will be delighted! Cabin is newer construction with a fully equipped kitchen, easy access to outdoor activities, clean and comfortable with the lovely sounds of the McKenzie River to greet you every morning and lull you to sleep at night. Beds are comfortable, bedrooms are roomy, bathrooms are lovely. The common areas are perfect for gathering throughout the day to play games, cook together, enjoy the gas fireplace and visit with old friends. We arrived a bit later than anticipated and had some trouble finding our way around - we hesitated to call David so late (after 10 PM) to ask for help but he could not have been more gracious. He even was able to come up the drive to meet us and make sure we found our way. He was accommodating and easy to work with while making the reservation and communicated clearly throughout. This was the first time I worked with a property owner via VRBO who did not use paypal but I would encourage anyone who might be worried about this to set those worries aside. David is a straight shooter you can trust. Our one regret is that we did not have more time to spend in this lovely cabin. We will return with more time to just enjoy the surroundings and relax in the best little cabin at the McKenzie Bridge!
