Perfect end to Summer...

5 of 5
Just wrapped up a week of perfect weather, perfect fishing and first and foremost all in a perfect setting! Couldn't ask for more, the location is one of the best, the house layout works well for everyone in the family, one floor, master suite large and welcoming etc. Easy to get around for the older folks and our blind Basset Hound. Kitchen has everything we need and the new grill/smoker is even bigger than the Traeger it replaced! If it sounds like we have been here before, we have (several times) and hopefully will be back many, many more! It get's harder every time to write something different.. We did have a "flock" of Turkeys visit us one morning, that was a first!! Caught lots of trout, lost two Steelhead, one on my new Spey rod (have to blame something). The sunsets were amazing and the full moon was something to behold! I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone.... Now back at work basking in the glow of memories... Thank you yet once again Charles and family for sharing this special place!

Amazing & wonderful place for a special occasion!

5 of 5
We came for Valentine’s Day and found our hearts’ delight… a perfect getaway. The cabin is amazing for its lovely solitude, river sights & sounds, and general comfort level. It is spacious and quietly elegant without being pretentious. I even marveled at the craftsmanship and quality materials throughout. The kitchen is gorgeous and well-equipped; the dining area and living room are all inviting and cozy; and the bedrooms offer soft natural light, muffled and soothing river sounds, and lovely beds and mattresses. You’ll find it easy to take that long winter’s nap. The location would be hard to beat, about an hour up the lovely McKenzie Valley from Eugene, in a location rich in environmental aesthetics. The cabin sits near the banks of the river, close upon the Belknap Bridge, and walking distance from good local restaurants and a general store. Hiking trails begin almost at the driveway. But the best part may well be that you don’t have to be ambitious to enjoy a special occasion here. Bring a book, your journal or something to write, kick off your shoes, and allow Belknap cabin to work its special quiet magic. You will not be disappointed.

Only mistake was not planning to stay longer!

5 of 5
Anyone who rents this property will be delighted! Cabin is newer construction with a fully equipped kitchen, easy access to outdoor activities, clean and comfortable with the lovely sounds of the McKenzie River to greet you every morning and lull you to sleep at night. Beds are comfortable, bedrooms are roomy, bathrooms are lovely. The common areas are perfect for gathering throughout the day to play games, cook together, enjoy the gas fireplace and visit with old friends. We arrived a bit later than anticipated and had some trouble finding our way around - we hesitated to call David so late (after 10 PM) to ask for help but he could not have been more gracious. He even was able to come up the drive to meet us and make sure we found our way. He was accommodating and easy to work with while making the reservation and communicated clearly throughout. This was the first time I worked with a property owner via VRBO who did not use paypal but I would encourage anyone who might be worried about this to set those worries aside. David is a straight shooter you can trust. Our one regret is that we did not have more time to spend in this lovely cabin. We will return with more time to just enjoy the surroundings and relax in the best little cabin at the McKenzie Bridge!
