I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
I was very happy with the location.
The vacation rental was somewhat dirty.
The property manager was very helpful.
Overall, I recommend this vacation rental.
We just discovered this vacation rental last summer -and it is pretty darn amazing. The amazingness can be summed up thusly:
*A plethora of beach cabins practically sitting right on the beach! And they're all yours!
*An outdoor shower!!
*Hot tub with an ocean view!
*Beautiful beach + funky cabins = fun for the family :)
We plan to come back again this summer!
There were a few issues that I think management could look into, though...
-None of the cabins had been cleaned very well when we arrived, and at least two hadn't been cleaned at all -they still had unmade beds from the previous guests... the kitchen in the bait cabin in particular was very dirty. Not just a cabin-by-the-beach kind of dirty, but food still on the stove and counters kind of dirty. We spent our first evening walking around and picking up a lot of trash from the grounds, washing towels as there were many left dirty in the laundry cabin, wiping down the kitchen counters and sweeping up all the food from the kitchen floor. We didn't make a to-do about it or call the property management, as we assumed that perhaps the group before us was very large (and messy) and the cleaning staff were maybe overwhelmed and ran out of time that day or something...
-the outdoor shower runs out of hot water VERY quickly, which is too bad as it is such an awesome feature!
-The beds in the Bait House and in the Taj Mahal are hella uncomfortable.. my husband and I plan to bring maybe an air mattress or something to help the Taj Mahal bed out a bit our next visit.. I didn't try the beds in the other cabins, but the kids said they were pretty hard (I think they are just foam bits over plywood, so I suppose that would make sense)
Regardless, the whole family agreed that returning to Camp One for our annual Oregon coast trip is a must!
