VERY CONVENIENT FOR THE SHAKESPEARE EXPERIENCE

4 of 5
All the good: the house is well maintained and has plenty of sleeping room for a large family or a group of friends. The common areas - living room, kitchen, deck - are spacious and nice for gatherings. The house is wonderfully located just a few blocks from the theaters and within easy walking distance to all the shops and restaurants Ashland has to offer. There are two dedicated parking spaces which is really invaluable. The owners are incredibly nice, easy to get ahold of, and provide tons of great information about the house and the town, as well as treats upon arrival. There are just a couple of minor reasons I didn't give the house five stars. First, for a house that sleeps 9, there is really not enough bathroom space. There is only one small stand-up shower in the downstairs bathroom. The upstairs bathroom just has a bathtub under a very low sloping ceiling. It worked out OK, we just had to plan ahead and take turns. The upstairs bedroom ceilings are low and sloping too, so some of us bumped our heads multiple times. Also, the person who slept in the downstairs bedroom had a horrible experience because the mattress was so saggy. It really needs to be replaced. Overall, though, this is a great option if you are going to see the plays and want to be in walking distance to everything.

PRIVATE CABIN FOR FAMILY

5 of 5
Our family really enjoyed this cabin. It is close to Ashland for the Shakespearian Festival but also close to white water rafting on the Rogue River. The interior is over the top. Nice artwork, beautiful rugs...need an extra blanket? How about a lovely quilt or four? There is more room than you think. There are two bedrooms upstairs and a loft is in one of the rooms with two twin beds for small kids. Down in the basement is a pull out couch that makes a comfortable cool room to sleep in. Outside it is all fenced in to keep the deer out. They are planting fruit trees which would be great for our next visit. Next door are the sweetest pair....a horse and his buddy, Cocoa the goat.
