Talk about a Room With a View!!

5 of 5
My husband and I uttered only one word when we walked into our new "home" in Portland...Wow! Everything was a crisp clean white with touches of ocean blue. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and totally modernized...seating for 4 in the dining area and a sofa that makes into a bed along with 2 comfy easy chairs. There is a small patio which you can reach either by the living room or the bedroom with 2 chairs and a small table, a perfect place to have my coffee in the am and my wine at night. Bathroom was updated with 2 vanities and a double shower stall. The bedroom was large and had room darkening shades to assist us in sleeping in and having a wonderful R&R. The closet was so large that we used it as a dressing room. The property comes with a dedicated parking spot in a much coveted area of Portland in the RiverWalk area. I have mobility issues and really loved having the elevator which is a must for me. If you Are a walker, there is no place better than this area to get yours steps in! With my daughter and a new granddaughter living in Portland I'm planning on making this my personal home away from home and will feel more than comfortable staying here alone when my husband can't make it...a very secure facility. Paul was a delight and answered any questions immediately...it really is a lovely spot!

Excellent Base in Portland

5 of 5
We were in Portland to deliver our son to college, and wanted somewhere close to Lewis & Clark College. We had been touring the Pacific Northwest, visiting cousins who live in BC, Canada for vacation and needed a base to outfit him for college life, and to wait for "Parent Preview Days", while he was on a backpacking trip. This turned out to be perfect! We had washer and dryer available so that he could start college with clean clothes, we cooked meals (mostly breakfasts and dinners) to save on our travel costs. And my husband loved the breakfasting on the deck overlooking the river so much, that he didn't want to leave! Kevin was easy to work with, and we found the place quite clean, and comfortable. I highly recommend this place for family get togethers!

An oasis from stress

5 of 5
Thank you, Debbie for making a stressful time both easy and amazingly relaxing. When we had to deal with the storied possessions of a deceased family member, a group of descendants rented Debbie's lovely riverside home. Not only did she accommodate our needs of delivering two 8x16 POD containers to her driveway, she found us some muscle moving help in the form of her nephews. Thank you, Corey and Stephen. With the help of these young men we were able to finish sorting, shipping, and donating in record time and were then able to relax and enjoy the remained of our week in this lovely home. The home is large with lots of space to spread out. With an upstairs and downstairs seating area. Lots of places to sleep and could have accommodated a much large group of people. Only 2 bathrooms but not a problem for our group of 3. The outside is lovely with a nice deck, where I had breakfast each morning. It has a dock for fishing, although I didn't catch anything I can't blame that on the house. And a nice firepit for an evening of relaxation. The neighborhood was super quit. It is close to Portland and if driving off commuter hours only took us about 20 minutes to get downtown. Commuter hours are another story though, the traffic in Portland is some of the worse I have seen taking upward to 1.5 hours to go to the exact same place. So plan accordingly. I found the atmosphere very enjoyable at this home and choose to set on the back deck and read a book while watching the river rather than go out for dinner in Portland. My only regret is I did not bring my kayak as it would have been fun to paddle around, although Debbie did mention there was rentals nearby. A great vacation getaway spot.
