We really enjoyed this very well stocked house. We cooked a lot of meals in and everything we looked for tool/pot/pan wise was there. We live in an older house so really appreciated the charm of the 1940s (I think) construction. It wasn't your brand new shiny construction but those don't have the same ambiance as this one does. With 2 adults, 3 kids and a dog there was plenty of room. It was about a 5 minute walk to the beach, which is very nice, and the beach was never crowded. The only downside was lack of wifi but actually turned out very well since the kids had to unplug. We would recommend the property to a friend and would stay there again ourselves.
For restaurants, which there aren't any in Neskowin at the moment, we went to Pacific City to the Pelican Pub on the beach at Cape Kiwanda. Food was okay but was a long wait and overpriced. Would try some different places in the future or would just go for beer and appetizers. The kids loved climbing up the giant sand dune that makes up the back end of the cape and will bring old skis next time to ski down.
Neskowin itself is filled with incredibly cute cottages and beach houses. I think a good percentage of houses must be owner occupied because the flower gardens were amazing on so many houses. The whole area has a very sleepy but friendly atmosphere so probably not a great place for those seeking a nightlife.
Once again, would especially recommend this house for people who like ambiance and/or have families.
