                      Great location, peaceful and private!

                      4 of 5
I used the Hollyhock Cottage as a home base for exploring the Painted Hills (10 min.away), and the John Day Fossil beds (20 min. away). The cottage is fully equipped with everything you need, (full size stove/oven, microwave, mini fridge, cooking & eating utensils). All you have to bring is food and drink if you're going to prepare your own meals. The bed is comfortable enough and there are plenty of windows to provide natural light and ventilation. There was no A/C when I was there but it wasn't needed. The cottage is surrounded by trees and shrubs along with the wonderful garden, which provides a lot of privacy so you don't have to worry about leaving all the shades open. The downside is that there is no clear view of sunrise or sunset. I enjoyed chatting with Barb and Aruna and they provided information that helped me to find a couple of places and trails I would likely have missed otherwise. The bottom line is that I will go back to this area again and if the Hollyhock is available that's where I'll stay.

Wow! Our family had a wonderful and very exciting vacation! Such a breath taking adventure with a rural setting and so close to the boat ramp! So loved the peaceful deck, sipping our coffee! Family time is a must and this was the perfect spot! Thanks bunches Jessica! We will be back next year!
