Will be a amazing place to rent!

4 of 5
It is so easy to find, and such a lovely garden area. The out side could use a few lawn or deck chairs. The home is clean, the bed is good, the bath quite nice and the kitchen is very workable. We got in after dark, we tried the porch lights which did NOT work, the main lights did not turn on, so I went to the bath in a very dark home using the phone to light the way, (It was DARK). I used the light from the bath to find the light to the bedroom in the hall, the living room lights did not work but the lamps did! The other issue is mine, I feel like they need window coverings in the dinning area as it opens up to the main home, and I felt like a fish in a bowl at dark, we did not use the eating area for that reason, a bit creepy not having any privacy after dark. I also thought the use of futons as the only sitting areas were a bit difficult as they are very deep, and you had to have your feet up on the couch to sit, would love to have had a chair of some sort! I loved the flip a switch, and have a instant fire! I feel like with some proper care this home will be amazing. Lots of space to move around in, big, nice bath lots nice quality towels, and lots hot water! This home from the outside is real treat and it is like a story book cottage, I know the little details that I talked about are all minor to take care of and I hope we can return next year for the Great Columbia Crossing, and rent this home again. So close to having a Excellent rating!

Exactly what we needed!

5 of 5
We stayed in July 2012. We combined the occasion of a family reunion with my daughter's honeymoon. We got a great deal on the Blue Rose next door. This property was perfect. I had all of my dogs. I was able to host my daughter and grandbaby, my other daughter and her friend, and myself and my husband. The property is clean, the beds are comfortable, and the view is SPECTACULAR! We had wonderful lazy days laying on the deck and cooking in the very comfortable kitchen. Tillamook is close by for excellent cheese and the home is lovely and comfortable. The only thing I would advise is that it's 98 steps to the beach, down a very steep hill and fairly rough terrain, even for seasoned Oregonians.

The Bandon Beach Shack is an unforgettable experience.

5 of 5
The Bandon Beach Shack is an unforgettable experience. First of all, thebeach shack is fully stocked with everything a family needs to spend a vacation at the beach. My wife and I spent a month there and were never in need of anything. They have thought of everything from galoshes to walk on the beach to spices for our favorite sea food dishes. And the assortment of games they have is perfect for the rainy days spent indoors with the kids. All questions I had were answered immediately. The beach shack itself is literally steps away from the beach entrance. We could not have asked for a better location. There is even a colony of seals a short walk away. The town is great for afternoon strolls and to grab a bite to eat out. The building is great too with an upstairs loft to see the ocean during the day and to view stars at night. But you will not be spending much time indoors anyway. I have been to 6 continents and can say without a doubt that the Oregon coastline is one of the most beautiful sights in the world. And the stretch of beach at Bandon is the best of all. I look forward to returning soon.
