Our family travels every year with our longtime friends and their kids, usually somewhere on the Oregon coast. Whales Way is by far the best we've ever rented for a variety of reasons. 1st is the most incredible location, easy access to beach, right next door to Harris Beach State Park, and no neighbors disrupting the view! 2nd, this was the best equipped home we've encountered. We have always had to buy things to leave behind in previous rentals. There were enough plates, dishes, glasses to get thru 2 meals with 8 people. We have in the past, gifted the house with extra matching plates and glasses just to avoid washing dishes after ever meal. There were enough pots, pans, cooking equipment, baking items, etc. that we were in awe! We did break 2 glasses either in dishwasher or putting away, but found they were smart to buy at the dollar store so we found the exact matches. Third, the fantastic layout for families. We rented the extra apartment so son wouldn't be in with the girls and that was a great solution. The teens weren't bothered by us and vice versa. Everyone loved the pool table and foos ball table and extra access to the outside as it was a walk out basement. The view from the main level was so spectacular and the furniture so pretty as well as being comfortable, we adults got some reading done, while looking up to admire the ocean. The main beds and bedding were so cozy comfortable, I actually slept in without tossing and turning which is very rare! Thanks for having card tables available, my friend and I scrapbook when we get together for these trips, and usually have to take over the dining table and then clear for meals. This was a such a bonus to leave everything I disturbed and out of everyone's way. Can't wait to book again for next year! The layout of the first floor may be accessible for handicapped, though didn't check if the hall bath has enough turning radius. This part of the coastline is beautiful, with rock formations right there behind the house that remind me of Cannon Beach and Rockaway.
