Very Convenient for the Shakespeare Experience

4 of 5
All the good: the house is well maintained and has plenty of sleeping room for a large family or a group of friends. The common areas - living room, kitchen, deck - are spacious and nice for gatherings. The house is wonderfully located just a few blocks from the theaters and within easy walking distance to all the shops and restaurants Ashland has to offer. There are two dedicated parking spaces which is really invaluable. The owners are incredibly nice, easy to get ahold of, and provide tons of great information about the house and the town, as well as treats upon arrival. There are just a couple of minor reasons I didn't give the house five stars. First, for a house that sleeps 9, there is really not enough bathroom space. There is only one small stand-up shower in the downstairs bathroom. The upstairs bathroom just has a bathtub under a very low sloping ceiling. It worked out OK, we just had to plan ahead and take turns. The upstairs bedroom ceilings are low and sloping too, so some of us bumped our heads multiple times. Also, the person who slept in the downstairs bedroom had a horrible experience because the mattress was so saggy. It really needs to be replaced. Overall, though, this is a great option if you are going to see the plays and want to be in walking distance to everything.

We enjoyed our stay in Juliet's Hideaway.

5 of 5
My husband and I recently moved to Ashland and rented Juliet's Hideaway for one month. It had all the amenities and more to make our stay comfortable while looking for a condo to buy. The close proximity to downtown, not quite two miles, was an added bonus. We discovered a foot path across the street and up the hill that took us to the railroad district, which was about a 10 minute walk. Ashland has many great restaurants that we liked to frequent in the plaza area, and LIthia Park is real gem for walking or just relaxing, Ana, the owner, provided us with great customer service while allowing us to have our privacy. I would most definitely recommend Juliet's Hideaway to anyone moving to Ashland and needing a long term rental.
