A little slice of heaven...cabin in the woods with gorgeous beach

5 of 5
We absolutely thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. If you are looking for a little quiet, serene vacation spot with amazing views all day but particularly when the sun sets, this is the place for you. It was so clean, neat and well maintained (not to mention charming) with all the amenities you would need. It is one of the original cottages at this privately gated community but it has recently updated bathrooms and kitchen. The porches were wonderful to relax on as well as the backyard with plenty of chaises and chairs to enjoy. The beach is so gorgeous and there are beach chairs, umbrella, floats and even a canoe to enjoy the water scene. Inside there are so many books, games, puzzles, etc. to entertain as well. I couldn't believe how well appointed the cottage was. The Grand Bend uptown beach scene is close by if that is your fancy during the day but we preferred the more peaceful private beach for morning walks and daytime fun. There are plenty of wonderful restaurants and attractions nearby. We also went up to Bayfield (about 20 minutes north) which has some great art galleries and shopping. We also enjoyed an evening at the Huron County Playhouse. Incredible talent for summer stock theater. There is so much to enjoy for all ages and most are very family oriented activities. Lake Huron is one of the most gorgeous (and 4th largest) freshwater lakes I have ever seen. It is so calm and so blue you can't even imagine. The owner was very helpful with questions and an absolute pleasure to work with. They maintain the property very well and had lots on information on restaurants and activities in the area. I would absolutely recommend this property to stay in the Grand Bend area. My only complaint is that we couldn't have stayed longer. We enjoyed a wonderfully refreshing and relaxing week here!

Charming, casual comfort

4 of 5
This is our second year staying at this comfortable cozy cottage. We fit 3 couples and 3 children comfortably, with most of out time spent on the fabulous beach!! The cottage is quiet, private, casual and comfortable. A great place to cherish family and good friends!! The sunsets are unbeleivable with access to the prestine private Lake Huron beach. Nearby shopping, restaurants, golf and tourism makes this a fabulous easy summer vacation spot!!! See you next year!!
