THIRD YEAR THE CHARM!

5 of 5
The one difference this year, was the new living room and porch furniture. Other than that, the rave reviews I have posted before are the same. Our family enjoys the time together especially being able to eat together. We set up the extra table and could all enjoy meals and fellowship. The park is nearby, the yard is grand, and the sunsets simply spectacular. Year number 4 is set for next year!

WONDERFUL ACCOMMODATIONS WITH SO MUCH TO DO!

5 of 5
We travel with a group of friends every year - this is the 4th year we've done it and this was, by far, our favorite place! It had plenty of room for us all and we didn't even have enough time to do everything the lodge had to offer . The kids LOVED Cinnamon (the horse out back!)and the pool was fantastic. The fact that it is heated for free is a HUGE plus for cool July days like we had. The rec room in the basement was great for the kids to play and for the adults to enjoy after the kids went to bed without begin too loud. The lodge was so clean when we arrived and the management is incredibly responsive during the process from beginning to end!

HOME AWAY FROM HOME

5 of 5
Where to begin...? The stay was great! Kelly was more than accommodating and made us feel like we were old friends. The house was more than spacious for two couples, and we all felt very comfortable. The kitchen was great and had everything we would need as far as essentials went such as ketchup, mustard, etc. The fact that she provided breakfast the first day was very kind and courteous. We used the grill out back and had some great steaks along with some good chicken from the local Wal-Mart. The rooms were great and had a rustic charm with current features. The location was perfect and easy access to Cedar Park and Cleveland where we caught an Indians game. The beach was great and the views were very relaxing. We woke up and caught the sunrise on our first morning and thought that there was a lot of charm in the area. Kelly recommended the "Mile Long Pier" to us which was great and we went out at night and also on the day we left. We could see the lighthouse from the front porch where we spent a good bit of time enjoying the views and watching the people. The little town had events every night that we were there which was very convenient. We dined out at two places in the area and enjoyed both of them immensely. We first had lunch at The Pit which is a delicious barbecue place towards Vermillion. The food was amazing!!! The other place we ate at was the Jin House near the highway...great low prices, good quality food and the sushi was AMAZING!! Overall, great house, great and gracious hostess, and beautiful area.
