                      Awesome Place!

                      5 of 5
Excellent place to have a family getaway! Customer service (I spoke with Jesse) is incomparable to anywhere else we have been. The place was immaculate when we arrived. Plenty of things for people of all ages to do. Cool game room, huge screen TV to watch the games, a large backyard to run around, a basketball hoop and there is a pond if you want to try your hand at fishing!. The guys went to a couple local golf courses (within 20 minutes - Mohican Hills is excellent). A group also hit a winery 30 minutes away. The women went to the outlet malls - not sure how far away that was. All in all, I would HIGHLY suggest anyone coming here for a little isolation from the hustle and bustle of the real world. Thank you Jesse and Justin! We will definitely be back!

Better than a 5 star vacation resort.

                      5 of 5
Eaglewood Manor is a breath of fresh air. The spacious home and beautiful grounds immediately welcome you to a place removed from the routine of everyday living. The home is sparkling clean with beautiful decor, fresh linens, and a wonderful assortment of specialty soaps and shampoos. Fresh coffee, juice, and coffee cake are provided by the hostess and we enjoyed these while sitting under the shaded pergola watching the ducks and turtles in the pond. There is so much to do in the quaint town of Chagrin Falls. We explored the falls, had ice-cream multiple times at The Popcorn Shop and Jeni's Splendid Ice-Creams, and enjoyed some amazing tavern food and beverages at The Burntwood Tavern and Flip Side. The local shopping for food is geared towards healthy eating with several farmers' markets and a family owned grocery store less than a mile from the home. The hostess also delivered farm fresh eggs whenever we needed them and walked us through the emerging permaculture garden farm they are developing. We learned a lot about deep organic farming and would love to come back to see how it grows! We left with some great memories and the wonderful feeling of being refreshed and renewed. Ahhhh…truly a vacation.

Cozy Home - Great for Groups!

                      4 of 5
Rented this house a few months back when I was in the area for a family reunion. We stayed there with a few others also in from out of town. Is it a 5 star hotel? No. But….It is spacious and clean and it only took 24 hours and we were all rather charmed with this old country place. Parts of the home (mainly the ground floor) have been nicely renovated and cleaned up more than others. I spoke to the owner at length about some of issues that we found (also noted in a previous review) and Kathleen welcomed the feedback and was quick to address these problems. She also enlightened me to the history of the house and how it’s been a proud work in progress for them and that upgrades are ongoing. The bottom line is, this IS a very old farmhouse and if you like old houses and the character that comes with them, you’ll enjoy this place. For a group vacation such as ours, we really did appreciate having a home to rent over separate hotel rooms. It allowed family from distant places to hang out, utilize a common kitchen and we had plenty of room to stretch out and relax between the house, the porches and the yard. I may be back in Ohio for a wedding next year. If so, I would definitely look into this house again.
