A touch of paradise in Ohio!

5 of 5
During our week long trip to Cleveland, there was no better place to stay than Eaglewood Manor! We were welcomed the very moment we arrived and felt welcomed throughout the entire week. The home is pristine - providing every possible accommodation and exceptionally clean! Donna and Gary are so friendly and accommodating. They allowed us to explore and roam the property. Thank you to them, and to the other inhabitants of the Manor -- Magnum, Tilly, Isabella, Molsen, Boris, and those gorgeous 3 ducks! We will definitely return! You truly made us all feel at home!

Couldn't Ask for a Better Place!

5 of 5
Our weekend at Golden Bear Lodge was awesome. From our very first contact with Jesse and Justin to the end of our Dinner Club weekend, it was a great experience. Jesse and Justin were kind enough to give us a tour of the Lodge in the dead of winter, even though we weren't planning a trip until fall. They talked me through the entire rental process and followed up on the day we checked out to make sure everything had gone well. We couldn't have asked for a cleaner or more well stocked place. From kitchen to bath rooms to game room! We had a bonfire in the fire pit , hiked in the woods, the guys golfed at a course in nearby Ashland and the girls did a little beading at the huge dining table! Throw in some wine and beer and everyone was happy. We loved the deck the swing and all the rockers. Had dinner in Wooster, which is only a half hour away, and did an afternoon tour of Loudinville, which is also not too far. You can be as busy or as not busy as you want. So very relaxing! Thanks Jesse and Justin....it was great!

Cozy Home - Great for Groups!

4 of 5
Rented this house a few months back when I was in the area for a family reunion. We stayed there with a few others also in from out of town. Is it a 5 star hotel? No. But….It is spacious and clean and it only took 24 hours and we were all rather charmed with this old country place. Parts of the home (mainly the ground floor) have been nicely renovated and cleaned up more than others. I spoke to the owner at length about some of issues that we found (also noted in a previous review) and Kathleen welcomed the feedback and was quick to address these problems. She also enlightened me to the history of the house and how it’s been a proud work in progress for them and that upgrades are ongoing. The bottom line is, this IS a very old farmhouse and if you like old houses and the character that comes with them, you’ll enjoy this place. For a group vacation such as ours, we really did appreciate having a home to rent over separate hotel rooms. It allowed family from distant places to hang out, utilize a common kitchen and we had plenty of room to stretch out and relax between the house, the porches and the yard. I may be back in Ohio for a wedding next year. If so, I would definitely look into this house again.
