Fab 5 2014 Getaway

5 of 5
This little hideaway was perfect! There are 5 women in our friendship circle. We choose a spot each year and go away for the weekend. We chose close to home this time and were so very pleased with our choice. The Red Cottage was exactly what it we had hoped for. Every little detail had been thought of and we enjoyed everything! We visited and shopped in Berlin, experienced natures beauty of the surrounding areas and enjoyed the firepit area upon our return. Exceptionally clean and cared for and we would absolutely return!! A cozy getaway in beautiful amish country

5 of 5
We enjoyed our stay at the Azalea House in Sugarcreek. The home is warm and inviting. The beds were comfortable, slept great. Plenty of room for the whole family. The kids Loved the finished lower level! Close to town. Our daughters enjoyed walking to the Bulk food store. The owner was very accommodating and easy to work with. Thank you so much! Will stay again.

Lovely, relaxing for a big group!

4 of 5
Our group of 12 was celebrating a 50 yr nursing school reunion. Mary (owner) was great at handling our questions and making our stay pleasant both before and during our visit. The property is simply beautiful - set back in the woods. away from the sights and sounds of all but nature - even though it is only minutes from town, if you need anything at all! I cannot speak for anyone who might reserve only one room or two. But for a large group it was perfect to spread out, relax and not bother anyone, as with a normal hotel or B+B! This IS a house in the woods that is not lived in on a daily basis. Therefore, be aware that there MAY be the occasional critter or spider! (All normal!) And there is the minor annoyance of dampness and some mildew smell, especially in the lower level. Overall the house was very clean and well-kept. It's not new or "fancy", but was quaint and decorated, in every nook and cranny, with items in line with the owner's taste. We enjoyed checking everything out! It was perfect for our group and several of our party said they wished we could come back again. Thanks, Mary!
