Lovely, relaxing for a big group!

4 of 5
Our group of 12 was celebrating a 50 yr nursing school reunion. Mary (owner) was great at handling our questions and making our stay pleasant both before and during our visit. The property is simply beautiful - set back in the woods. away from the sights and sounds of all but nature - even though it is only minutes from town, if you need anything at all! I cannot speak for anyone who might reserve only one room or two. But for a large group it was perfect to spread out, relax and not bother anyone, as with a normal hotel or B+B! This IS a house in the woods that is not lived in on a daily basis. Therefore, be aware that there MAY be the occasional critter or spider! (All normal!) And there is the minor annoyance of dampness and some mildew smell, especially in the lower level. Overall the house was very clean and well-kept. It's not new or "fancy", but was quaint and decorated, in every nook and cranny, with items in line with the owner's taste. We enjoyed checking everything out! It was perfect for our group and several of our party said they wished we could come back again. Thanks, Mary!

Amazing place to reconnect!!

5 of 5
My husband and I stayed at the stone cottage in celebration of our 13th anniversary and we were not disappointed! The cottage was perfect for our much needed time away, it was decorated beautifully! The jacuzzi room upstairs was by far our favorite room with the gas fireplace a close second. Each morning we eagerly awaited our breakfast delivery from Leah! I felt like a child on Christmas morning opening the basket to see what wonderful surprises awaited us!! Again we were more than surprised, everything was delicious!! The fresh peaches the first morning and yummy yogurts and granola the second morning!! Delish. We can't wait to return and we took some brochures to share with our family and friends. The country landscape made us feel so at home. It was nice not staying in town with all the hustle and bustle. We didn't get a chance to fish but really appreciated the fact that fishing poles were provided! Thank you so much for opening up your cottage to us!! Looking forward to our next stay. Children's Paradise where adults can relax too.

5 of 5
My sister and I took our daughter's and their children for 2 nights. We enjoyed ourselves so much and we all wished that we had planned to stay longer. Every;thing a child could want to do is there. The pool, playhouse and swing set kept them all very busy. The heated pool was such a plus. The children never wanted to come out of it. Katie is very hospitable and the house is beautiful. I will definetly be staying there again next year. I have recommended this house to everyone I know. What a spectacular vacation.
