Exactly what we were looking for

4 of 5
Pros: David, the owner, was wonderful! An entertaining host, he ferried us around the Lakes in his lovely deck boat and provided a wealth of historical information about the area and its residents. My family celebrated my father's 90th birthday in beautifully landscaped gardens on an inlet of the Lakes, on a warm sunny day. The lower deck provided necessary shade and the lawns allowed the younger ones to toss around footballs and display their gymnastic talents! The suite itself was very large, clean, and well appointed. We awoke to mist rising from the canal and observed two blue herons take flight while drinking coffee on the deck on a blissfully peaceful Sunday morning. Cons: The suite was beneath the host's living quarters and we could occasionally hear water running in the main house above the bedroom.

Comfortable lake cabin in beautiful setting

5 of 5
We had a very nice stay here, my two friends and I. Very intimate setting for catching up with old friends. The cabin wasn't anything fancy: two bedrooms, one pull out couch, and one bathroom. But the furniture was very comfortable and cozy, and the views of the lake are delightful. The back yard is the best part, where you can play all day on the lawn by the edge of the lake. The owner was very nice and very helpful. Easy to communicate with and overall easy in-and-out.

Our 3rd Year

5 of 5
Our six 1969 High School Reunion ladies have stayed at the Nautical House 3 years running and just love this house. We have rented a pontoon the past two years and suggest it for anyone who loves a wonderful few hours on the lakes.
