TWO INCREDIBLE MONTHS AT XANO XANO

5 of 5
It is wonderful to have had a two month stay at Xano Xano and not be able to say enough good things about both the hosts and the accommodation. Without any question it is the most beautiful place where we have ever had the pleasure of staying. Our hosts, Penny and Victor, could not have been more helpful. Whatever rating scale one uses our stay was off the charts, it was that positive. We were there for the two full months of February and March of 2015. From the time we entered the courtyard for the first time and had our initial view of the beautiful landscaping, the infinity pool and the outdoor living room and the two separate living units banked over each other and covered with vines and flowers we fell in love with Xano Xano. When we entered what was to be our living area we found it to be very attractively decorated and, we discovered, comfortably furnished, with very tasteful art and pottery throughout. We really appreciated the two ceiling to floor bookshelves full of excellent literature and popular reading materials. Because we like to do a lot of our own cooking we found that the kitchen had everything we could possibly need in terms of cutlery, dishes, full size fridge, stove, microwave etc and many of the basic and other supplies used in preparing meals. We chose not to rent a car and instead used the community taxi (collectivo) to travel in and out of Oaxaca on a regular basis. Thanks to the clever design of Xano, Xano we had three outdoor areas that were part of our exclusive living area. We took full advantage of the back patio, the front balcony, and the very attractive outdoor pallapa type living room with its multiple works of arts, crafts, and several different comfortable seating areas fronted by the, always available, lovely infinity pool. Penny and Victor were a fountain of helpful information and advice. We followed their suggestions to the letter and never went wrong. What wonderful, kind and thoughtful hosts they were. We very much enjoyed staying in the small town of San Agustin Etla. Despite our inability to speak Spanish we have always found Mexicans friendly and very hospitable. We always felt totally safe and secure there as well as in Oaxaca Should our annual travels in our retirement years again include Mexico we will certainly want to see if Xano Xano is available for at least part of our trip. Leaving such great hosts and beautiful place was not easy.

Wow, Huatulco!

5 of 5
We had the pleasure of staying at Suenos for a month and it was really difficult to go home!! Huatulco was a great spot and the Condo was super. We had read all the reviews prior to going, some good and some less so, but overall the Condo far exceeded our expectations especially given some of the earlier comments we had read. It would be fair to say it isn't luxurious and that maybe some of the essentials need some review (we had to ask for a kettle and there was no 'normal' sized pan for the stove) The situation with the TV and DVD player is irritating given we are living in 2015 in that you have to struggle to move cables around at the back, but these are all minor issues. Generally speaking, it is all you need for a great vacation. The pool area is fantastic and the water so warm. There seemed to be short of sun beds when we first arrived but after a few days it no longer seemed to be a problem. Same goes for the one bar b q which, apparently, had a 'reservation system' which we weren't aware of. Probably an investment in a second bar b q would probably be worthwhile. Everyone we met are the complex were great and Maria was very friendly and helpful regularly checking to ensure everything was OK.

Ahhhhh. . . . .

5 of 5
I am of two minds as I write a review of this Salchi destination. On the one hand, I want to shout out accolades, on the other hand, I don't want to say a word - to keep it to myself so it is available for my next vacation! Everything was perfect - our hosts have created a haven of bliss in this tiny private oasis on the ocean. The interior was spectacular, the terrace provided a dining and entertaining option with a breathless view of the bay by day and starry sky by night. As a gourmet cook, I appreciated the well stocked kitchen. The bedrooms were large, airy and beds very comfortable. The pool was pristine and a luxury beyond words in this warm climate where the weather is clear and sunny each and every day. Often we were the only ones on the beach. I highly recommend this property for a gathering of family, friends or a couple wanting to get away from it all to enjoy unique privacy and gorgeous surroundings.
