TWO INCREDIBLE MONTHS AT XANO XANO

5 of 5
It is wonderful to have had a two month stay at Xano Xano and not be able to say enough good things about both the hosts and the accommodation. Without any question it is the most beautiful place where we have ever had the pleasure of staying. Our hosts, Penny and Victor, could not have been more helpful. Whatever rating scale one uses our stay was off the charts, it was that positive. We were there for the two full months of February and March of 2015. From the time we entered the courtyard for the first time and had our initial view of the beautiful landscaping, the infinity pool and the outdoor living room and the two separate living units banked over each other and covered with vines and flowers we fell in love with Xano Xano. When we entered what was to be our living area we found it to be very attractively decorated and, we discovered, comfortably furnished, with very tasteful art and pottery throughout. We really appreciated the two ceiling to floor bookshelves full of excellent literature and popular reading materials. Because we like to do a lot of our own cooking we found that the kitchen had everything we could possibly need in terms of cutlery, dishes, full size fridge, stove, microwave etc and many of the basic and other supplies used in preparing meals. We chose not to rent a car and instead used the community taxi (collectivo) to travel in and out of Oaxaca on a regular basis. Thanks to the clever design of Xano, Xano we had three outdoor areas that were part of our exclusive living area. We took full advantage of the back patio, the front balcony, and the very attractive outdoor pallapa type living room with its multiple works of arts, crafts, and several different comfortable seating areas fronted by the, always available, lovely infinity pool. Penny and Victor were a fountain of helpful information and advice. We followed their suggestions to the letter and never went wrong. What wonderful, kind and thoughtful hosts they were. We very much enjoyed staying in the small town of San Agustin Etla. Despite our inability to speak Spanish we have always found Mexicans friendly and very hospitable. We always felt totally safe and secure there as well as in Oaxaca Should our annual travels in our retirement years again include Mexico we will certainly want to see if Xano Xano is available for at least part of our trip. Leaving such great hosts and beautiful place was not easy.

An oasis in the city

4 of 5
After a cold, long winter we were excited to be escaping for 10 days. This was our first time renting a home and it was a wonderful experience. Cherie your information and quick response to any enquiries really eased our minds. The home is exactly as portrayed in the pictures, spotlessly clean and I have to say the swimming pool was the highlight for us! The beautiful lush greenery with the parrots chattering in the background was like an oasis from the heat of Puerto Escondido. The house is located very centrally so it is so easy to get to the various areas of town with the grocery store (Super Che) a few blocks and even the wonderful local market within walking distance. There is some noise from vehicles as it is a busy area but you can't be in the hub of things without hearing some traffic. With that said the house is very private so although you can hear movement you can't see it nor can you be seen. The housekeeper is lovely, our Spanish is weak making it a little tricky communicating but Spanish is the native language so that is our problem and not a reflection of the property. In addition there is typically an on site manger who speaks English but he happened to be away during our stay. Cherie called to welcome us and looked after any little quires we had open arrival. Hope to be able to return one day!

Wouldn't Change a Thing

5 of 5
This property Casa Rebecca is even more beautiful in person than the pictures can show. My wife and I stayed there the month of February 2015. We were met upon arrival by a very nice young gentleman who helped us with our luggage and gave us a tour of the inside area the private Palapa area, and the out side pool area. Shortly after he left the property manager Nina came to explain the area and help us get connected to their Wi Fi she was available our whole stay to answer any questions very helpful. WE had maid service twice a week in which we were able to choose the time and days. This is a very safe and well lit gated property. Location is excellent for a variety of dining and cab access. Sunsets up on the top Palapa are like no other. WE were able to spot Whales and dolphins on several occasions very entertaining. When Thomas rents his property you are truly his guest he makes sure every detail is perfect . My wife and I have been vacationing for over 30 years and this is truly one of our nicest experiences.
