BEAUTIFUL COTTAGE IN A GREAT LOCATION

My husband and I stayed at Rising Sun guest house last summer and we had a great visit. The house itself is lovely and beautifully furnished, with a well-equipped kitchen and a dining room with a great view of Jordan Bay. There was a nice, well-maintained path down to the water, and beautiful peonies and lupines in bloom when we were there (late June). It's a quiet spot but with easy access to all the charming little towns on the South Shore, including Shelburne, which is very close by (and has a nice grocery store, coffee shop, etc.) and Lunenburg, which is a bit further but an easy drive. The house was spotless and the grounds were very well maintained. Really, everything was perfect. I just wished we lived closer so we could visit again this summer! I highly recommend this house if you are planning a trip to the South Shore of Nova Scotia.

          HAVEN'T THOUGHT OF IT MUCH.

I loved the place, it was quiet and very secluded. Didn't have to worry about anyone seeing us inside. Also, liked the lobster & fish we were able to buy at a reasonable price. We now live in S. Carolina so we are unable to get fresh lobster, also live about 3 hours from the coast so are unable to buy fresh fish. I am from the Phila area, and my husband is from NH, when my husband retired we lived 9 years in NH and we got used to fresh lobster. I also enjoyed the town of Shelburne, which we drove to almost every day. Also liked the areas we were able to drive to, specifically Lunenburg, a good location to see Nova Scotia. We found the place clean and description accurate. We would recommend to friends & relatives, and I have. We were in Nova Scotia with our Motor Home, years ago and toured the northern area, we were happy to see the southern area of Nova Scotia.
