I loved Cape Breton and I loved this house!

5 of 5
I spent a week here with my 20 year old son. We both loved the house and loved Cape Breton. This home is a perfect home base for exploring the western side of Cape Breton as well as Cape Breton Highlands Park, which is a ten minute drive from the house. I would highly recommend spending 2-3 days in the park. Have your camera ready when you drive through the park as the vistas from the main road are stunning. My son and I also did several of the recommended hikes in CBHP including the popular Skyline trail. The town of Chet camp (just a short drive north from the house) is home to a large French Acadian community and is worth a visit. (One local told me that 90-95% of the town’s residents speak French). Make sure to visit Baddeck which is about 1 ¼ hour drive from the Cheticamp area. Baddeck is home to the Alexander Graham Bell Museum and is a neat little town located on the shores of beautiful Bras D’Or Lake. The house was perfect for us. There is a kitchen and dining area downstairs, with a cozy adjoining sitting area. The sitting area had a couch, a couple of comfortable chairs, a TV and a good collection of movie CDs. Upstairs were three small bedrooms. Everything was as-advertised. Everything worked, everything was clean and neat. The view from outside the house is absolutely incredible. The house is located on a small bluff so when you go onto the front porch you get an unimpeded panoramic view of the ocean as well as views of the beautiful cliffs and beach to the south. One morning I also saw both a red fox and a bald eagle from the front porch while enjoying my morning caffeine. The home’s owner, Paul, was a pleasure to deal with. He answered all of my emails promptly and comprehensively and I generally found him to be very responsive to questions and concerns. I would very much like to return to Cape Breton in the next year and would like to stay at Paul’s home again. I would encourage any other potential visitors to Cape Breton to consider staying here as well.

30th Anniversary Celebration!

4 of 5
We just got back from spending four nights at the Studio apartment at Singing Pebbles. We were celebrating our 30th anniversary! Coming home to our "cottage" each evening after exploring the Island was delightful. Jitka's suggestions were very helpful. God's creative handiwork and majesty is wonderfully displayed in this part of the world! We would highly recommend Singing Pebbles as a place to stay in the area; being close to many attractions and still a private place with personal attention. And Jitka's pottery is amazing.

Scenic wonderland

5 of 5
The landscape setting is beautiful, the cottage is super clean and has a wonderful artistic flair. There was laundry soap, dish soap, toilet paper, tinfoil, baggies, washer, dryer all the amenities one needs, did not need to purchase any of the little things. The entire Fundy region has the most awesome natural attractions. It was my husbands birthday, his co-workers called the owner of the property to arrange for a gift. Andi accepted their request and brought a fabulous bottle of local wine and a card to the cottage and surprised my husband for this birthday. Thank you so much for providing exactly what is shown and described of the property online and for going out of your way to provide and exceptional experience for our get away. Most definitely plan to come back!
