Pictures don't do it justice!

5 of 5
We've rented many properties and this one is a real gem. The house has beautiful views of the water and was absolutely spotless. We have small children and it was perfect for kids. There are acres of land for the kids to play in, and they loved the warm water in the tide pools when the tide went out. There is a waterfall on the property and gorgeous multicolored wild flowers at the waters edge and surrounding the house. It was very quiet and peaceful and we saw only one person the beach during our stay. The owners Sandy and Carol were friendly, helpful and were very respectful of our privacy. Definitely five stars!

Fabulous View

5 of 5
We started our 17 days in the Maritimes with a week at this fabulous waterfront home. The views are amazing and coffee on the lovely deck started each day with us wondering which ship would we watch today? The Queen Mary 2 and all the Canadian Navy Ships were interesting as well as the Wednesday evening sailing regatta. We travelled about the area including Peggy's Cove and many other really neat fishing Coves and Harbours. The Halifax Waterfront Boardwalk was a hit on many days for lunch or dinner of whatever fresh catch of the day was being offered. Salty's and The BicycleThief were 2 favourites. Our party consisted of 2 grandparents, 2 parents and a 10 month old baby. The house was very comfy for all our needs and even on the rainy days we could enjoy all the harbour had to show through the many floor to ceiling windows of the kitchen and living areas. The area was so quiet and peaceful it was hard to believe we were so close to Halifax. Sigmund the Resident Seagull was an instant hit. We would love to return to Halifax some day and would choose to stay here again in a heartbeat.

An Oasis of Relaxation

4 of 5
The Beach House has been an oasis of relaxation for the three of us-admiring the spectacular scenery over the Bay of Fundy, soaking up the sun after a long cold winter, watching the various birds in the pine trees, listening to the lapping water of the tides coming in below us and gazing at the stars in the night sky from the sundeck. This bright airy home with its comfortable rooms, great selection of books to read, and two fireplaces lacked no amenities .We had everything we could ever need! The area is rich in history and exploring the small friendly ports along the Bay brings to mind the ship building days of yore and a quiet pace of life that still exists today in this less travelled part of the province. There is so much to enjoy in the area from fossil cliffs, to museums, and even live theatre. We only wish we had found this delightful retreat sooner. To us, this has become one of our preferred destinations and we recommend it highly! Marilyn Peers
