          Just perfect...

          5 of 5
Had a wonderful family vacation at this cottage. The cottage is perfect and has everything you need. Great layout and superb views. There is no better place for a family vacation...beaches that look like they belong in the Caribbean, nearby amenities, and of course world class salmon fishing. We have been to countless cottages across Nova Scotia, and this tops our list. We'll be back!

          Lovely home!

This is a gem of house in Margaree ideal to visit so many beautiful attractions on Cape Breton Island and nearby towns. .The house is on a beautiful property that provides spectacular views with a serene salmon pond behind the house. The host was very gracious and extended his warm hospitality throughout our stay. The house was very well organized, fully-stocked, and had all the amenities to make our stay very comfortable. Our group of 8 had a great time at the Cape Breton Highlands National Park, beaches in the area, kids had fun fishing by the trout pond that is run by a wonderful couple a mile away. The grocery store is close by and so is the “dancing goat café” that is not to be missed. We purchased lobsters, clams, snow-crabs from the local store that made for unforgettable gastronomic dining experience. There are several reviews in the owner’s guest book that illustrates the wonderful time people have enjoyed over the years at the house. Since a review was not available when we booked this vacation home, it is only fitting that this house is well worthy of a review so people can take advantage of this property and enjoy their vacation on Cape Breton Island

          Home Away From Home

          5 of 5
For the past decade, each summer our family has eagerly returned to the Ross House. Located in a spectacularly beautiful setting overlooking the sea (whales frequently traverse your view), the Ross House was originally a farmhouse and although it has been stylishly redecorated and a front deck added, it retains a homey and comfortable feel. We make great use of the well stocked kitchen and deck grill, most often dinning on the deck, our central course made from the local shellfish, salmon, cod and oysters we purchase at markets at Margaree Habour and Cheticamp. Nearby are a series of beaches, several quite wonderful, where various of us spend hours swimming and such, and not much farther away are the awesome Highlands, where we hike and picnic. Also each summer we make sure to search out local venues featuring the great Celtic music of the area’s fiddlers.
