Just perfect...

5 of 5
Had a wonderful family vacation at this cottage. The cottage is perfect and has everything you need. Great layout and superb views. There is no better place for a family vacation...beaches that look like they belong in the Caribbean, nearby amenities, and of course world class salmon fishing. We have been to countless cottages across Nova Scotia, and this tops our list. We'll be back!

Lovely home!

5 of 5
This is a gem of house in Margaree ideal to visit so many beautiful attractions on Cape Breton Island and nearby towns. .The house is on a beautiful property that provides spectacular views with a serene salmon pond behind the house. The host was very gracious and extended his warm hospitality throughout our stay. The house was very well organized, fully-stocked, and had all the amenities to make our stay very comfortable. Our group of 8 had a great time at the Cape Breton Highlands National Park, beaches in the area, kids had fun fishing by the trout pond that is run by a wonderful couple a mile away. The grocery store is close by and so is the “dancing goat café” that is not to be missed. We purchased lobsters, clams, snow-crabs from the local store that made for unforgettable gastronomic dining experience. There are several reviews in the owner’s guest book that illustrates the wonderful time people have enjoyed over the years at the house. Since a review was not available when we booked this vacation home, it is only fitting that this house is well worthy of a review so people can take advantage of this property and enjoy their vacation on Cape Breton Island

We loved our stay at the Cottage!

5 of 5
We thoroughly enjoyed our week at the Eagles Pass cottage. Our expectations of the cottage were very high, and they were greatly exceeded! The cottage is perched on a cliff overlooking the ocean. It is surrounded by pine trees and is very private. The deck overlooking the ocean is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the spectacular view. The cottage is very clean, well stocked, and has a rustic yet modern decor. Our two girls (14 and 12) loved the cottage and fit nicely in the 2nd bedroom. The views from the cottage and deck are really spectacular. We had a perfect view overlooking the ocean and we could frequently watch eagles perched on rocks at the nearby beach. The beach near the cottage was perfect for swimming. The water was very clear and not too cold. Using our masks, we enjoyed watching lobsters and schools of fish swim by. We really liked the location of the cottage as well. We were close to two very nice towns (Cheticamp and Inverness), and we were also close to Cape Breton National Park. We went on two amazing hikes; our favorite was probably Skyline Hike. The views seemed to come right from the Cape Breton brochures. Stewart gave us great advice on what not to miss on the island. We enjoyed many wonderful meals including one at the Red Shoe Pub and one at the Glenora Distillery. We really liked the Dancing Goat bakery for lunch sandwiches and cookies. Stewart also recommended the music at the Barn and that experience was truly a highlight of our stay in Cape Breton.
