FABULOUS VIEW

5 of 5
We started our 17 days in the Maritimes with a week at this fabulous waterfront home. The views are amazing and coffee on the lovely deck started each day with us wondering which ship would we watch today? The Queen Mary 2 and all the Canadian Navy Ships were interesting as well as the Wednesday evening sailing regatta. We travelled about the area including Peggy's Cove and many other really neat fishing Coves and Harbours. The Halifax Waterfront Boardwalk was a hit on many days for lunch or dinner of whatever fresh catch of the day was being offered. Salty's and The BicycleThief were 2 favourites. Our party consisted of 2 grandparents, 2 parents and a 10 month old baby. The house was very comfy for all our needs and even on the rainy days we could enjoy all the harbour had to show through the many floor to ceiling windows of the kitchen and living areas. The area was so quiet and peaceful it was hard to believe we were so close to Halifax. Sigmund the Resident Seagull was an instant hit. We would love to return to Halifax some day and would choose to stay here again in a heartbeat.

GREAT HOLIDAY HOME!

5 of 5
We were really excited to stay at this Ocean Getaway from the pictures and description, with the incredible ocean views and modern finishings. This place lived up to our expectations and more! Everything is designed to allow the guests to enjoy the stunning sea views; from the ceiling to floor windows that cover the width of the kitchen/living room, to the same panoramic window in the master bedroom (good luck fighting over that!), the deck and BBQ, and even the window benches. Everything is finished to a high quality and we felt comfortable and at home right away; not always the case in holiday rentals. On our first day we were greeted by both owners (Randy & Natalie) who live close and were always happy to advise on things to do etc. Suggesting the best beaches and local walks, as well as the times to avoid the crowds when visiting places like Lunenburg, Malone's Bay and Peggy's Cove. They were fantastic! We were two couples, and have stayed in many holiday homes across Europe, the UK and Canada, and this place ranks up there with the best of them! It is a very special place, one which the owners should be very proud of having designed and built much of it themselves. It is an incredible location and a great base to explore Nova Scotia from. We loved the province and did everything we wanted, although we were a little early in the season for whales we were optimistic of seeing one but unfortunately not. That was the only thing we didn't see from the panoramic windows you spend your time gazing out of... we recommend getting up for the sunrise over the cove on a clear day! Cannot speak highly enough about this place, there is nothing we would suggest needs improving, and that is rare in holiday rentals... actually if the owners could supply whales in the bay out of season that would be great! :)

WONDERFUL STAY!!

5 of 5
We really enjoyed our weeklong stay at this cozy and convenient apartment! The location is excelent, with easy access to downtown and shopping, as well as to the highway heading out of town. The view across the road is wonderful as well as the paths and walkways. This little back apartment is very warm and inviting and was complete with everything you could ask for in a home. We appreciated the private entrance and the full kitchen, which really helped cut down on restaurant meals! Dan, Sandi and Calista were very gracious hosts and extremely helpful with any questions we had. We enjoyed viewing Dan's beautiful artwork in his home studio as well! Very talented! Many thanks to this wonderful family, and we do hope to one day return to this lovely home away from home! Linda, Norman and Parker from Alberta
