Great place in a very quaint Nova Scotia village

                                      5 of 5
My partner and I were visiting relatives in L'Ardoise and found this great place. When we arrived we were struck by the spaciousness of the place - it's quite large and would be amazing for a large family. The location is pretty great too. It's located on top of a hill that overlooks the town and the ocean. I'm quite sure it's the highest point so the morning view is pretty awesome. The owner has naturalized the property so there are wild flowers, black and blue berry bushes all around the property and smells wonderful. The house is well stocked with items you will need for a home away vacation. Lots to do in the area. St. Peter's is only 15 minutes away and Point Michaud (beach) is about 10 minutes away. A great place to go. They rent wet suits, surfing boards, etc. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would consider coming back again for our next family visit!

Superb house full of character and well-equipped.

                                      5 of 5
We spent a week in St Peters, mostly kayaking around Iles Madame and the nearby bays. Despite the fact weather was not always on our side, we truly had a wonderful time. The owner makes you feel at home immediately. The house is superb, spotless throughout, well decorated with pieces of history. Also, beds are comfortable and you can feel the ocean breeze from the windows that open to great views of the bay and the lighthouse and the entrance of the canal (a 5 minute walk from the trail system just behind the house). The pictures on the site correspond to what you get. We did not get out for diner; the kitchen, recently renovated, is very well equipped and allowed us to cook like at home. Commodities are at walking distance. We would not hesitate to recommend that rental to anyone and it is particularly well suited for families with children. FT (Gatineau and Dartmouth)

Fantastic Vacation Home on the Cabot Trail!

                                      5 of 5
We absolutely loved this place! It was clean, well-appointed and situated in a perfect location for accessing many of Cape Breton's best attractions, including the small town of Cheticamp (be sure to check out the All Aboard restaurant) and the Cape Breton Highlands National Park. We spent hours sitting outside enjoying the view, and on our one rainy day, there was plenty to keep us entertained inside (food, TV, wireless internet and lots of reading). We highly recommend this home, and cant wait to return soon!
