Beautiful setting!!

5 of 5
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The mountains, ocean, sunrises, and sunsets...breathtaking as the light changed throughout the day!!! We would absolutely consider staying again- Couple of suggestions: not sure how often the housekeeper comes by, but we had to do some vacuuming upon arrival. We had to clean out the vacuum cleaner as well. It was clogged with debris. We stayed at the end of the summer season so many things were closed or closing up while we were there including dining options like The Hut. We picked up food at a co-op but the frig was too small and did not have a freezer option for meat. Meal planning and access became a little bit of a challenge. These circumstances were not huge impacts on our stay but might be helpful for future renters. Thank you for sharing your beautiful cottage and extraordinary surroundings! We made awesome memories!

Exactly what we had hoped.

5 of 5
This home is lovely and very well maintained. It is exactly as described in the listing. The home owners and care takers are a pleasure to deal with and quick to answer any questions you may have during your stay. It is the perfect location in town to walk to all the local attractions; beach, golf, pubs, coffee shop, grocery store, liquor store, bakery, gift shops, gas station, pharmacy and even a hospital. This town has it all! We visited during Celtic Colours festival. Sunshine, warm weather, music, crafts, food, and the colours.....WOW! We would definitely rent this property again!

Good view from barebones but functional cottage

4 of 5
My husband and I stayed in BayCroft Cottage for a week. The photos on VRBO are mostly accurate (Since they were taken, a hot tub replaced two of the Adirondack chairs on the deck. And the dining table we had seated 4.). The view of the water is good and as pictured. This cottage was plenty roomy for us. Sleep quality was excellent as the location is very quiet and the mattress on the larger bed is very good. The shower was nice, too. There is nothing fancy about this cottage at all. Everything is clean and functional, but totally low-end in terms of cost, e.g. Linoleum, countertops, refrigerator, microwave. In fact the microwave is so low-end that it is only 550 watts, which makes it only marginally useful. The one big deficit in this cottage is the lack of decent pots and pans and other kitchen supplies. There were two frying pans -- one very small and one that was truly wrecked and terminally greasy. Only two real mugs. No pot holders. Really, I rated this property as a "4" rather than a "5" based primarily on the furnishing of the kitchen. Beware if it is your intention to cook real meals in this kitchen. You should also know that the lake access at the bottom of the driveway (and across the road) does not include a dock. You simply have to scramble over some small boulders to get to the water.
