Superb house full of character and well-equipped.

5 of 5
We spent a week in St Peters, mostly kayaking around Iles Madame and the nearby bays. Despite the fact weather was not always on our side, we truly had a wonderful time. The owner makes you feel at home immediately. The house is superb, spotless throughout, well decorated with pieces of history. Also, beds are comfortable and you can feel the ocean breeze from the windows that open to great views of the bay and the lighthouse and the entrance of the canal (a 5 minute walk from the trail system just behind the house). The pictures on the site correspond to what you get. We did not get out for diner; the kitchen, recently renovated, is very well equipped and allowed us to cook like at home. Commodities are at walking distance. We would not hesitate to recommend that rental to anyone and it is particularly well suited for families with children. FT (Gatineau and Dartmouth)

Perfect get away without seeming isolated.

5 of 5
Three lady friends and myself rented this house for a week in September. This property has beautiful views of the water. The house has a lot of space, we each had our own bedroom, and is very clean and well appointed. The manager, Germaine, was a delight and very helpful giving us the history of the community and suggesting things to do. The stars seemed so close at night it felt like you could reach up and touch them. The town of Cheticamp is 5 to 10 minutes from this location. Lots of restaurants, quaint shopping, local music and a few museums. Cape Breton Highlands National Park is just north of Cheticamp with beautiful views, walking and hiking trails. We would recommend spending a day in Baddeck, about one hour from Cheticamp, visiting the Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site and strolling the wharf. We felt very much at home in this property and truly enjoyed the locals. We definitely would recommend this site to friends and relatives.

"Really Great Property! Golf at Bell Bay Included!

4 of 5
"Really Great Property! Golf at Bell Bay Included!" - 4 Stars We stayed here for a week in July 2012 and found everything to be exactly as described. The vacation home is clean, spacious, nicely decorated and all the extras make it worth the price. Unlimited golf for 4 at Bell Bay Golf Course, including 2 power golf carts, access to the amenities at Inverary Resort e.g. kayaks, paddle boats, tennis courts, indoor swimming pool. The location is great too- 2 min drive to golf course, 5 min to shops lining Main Street in Baddeck, Marina, restaurants etc...The vacation home provides plenty of towels during your stay and also has a washer/dryer which was nice to have. There is free Wi-Fi which worked well and 4 flat screen TV’s- the beds are super comfy too. The kitchen was well stocked. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here - golfed every day, checked out the Alexander Graham Bell Museum, took a sailing tour on the amoeba (which I highly recommend), bought fresh fish and mussels at the Fish market at the Marina, did a short hike to Usige Ban Falls (trails not very well marked but nice), did a day trip around the Cabot trail (beautiful scenery), took a ferry over to Kidston Island and sat on the little beach there and swam out to the raft, played tennis, went to the Canada Day Fireworks in Baddeck (fantastic!), took kids go carting nearby, and explored the little shops along the main street in Baddeck. Very relaxing holiday- with the golf there was enough to do to keep you amused. Lovely place to visit and great property.
